October Scrapmatts Reveal

Hi Girls,

I haven't been around much lately as the month of October is super busy for me.  I have just returned from teaching at the Townsville Craft and Sewing Show and had a fab time with the lovely ladies who joined in for the Scrapmatts Paper Play mini classes.

I want to send a big thank you to Ann Mealin of Queensland Scrapbooking Retreats who invited me to teach a class with all the ladies at her Retreat in Noosa yesterday.  They were such a lovely group and I really enjoyed seeing their finished LO's.  I hope to be able to share some of them with you soon.

Scrapmatts October Reveal

Well as this month has been so hectic, it hasn't left me with a lot of time for creating, so I decided to make cards for my Scrapmatts reveal.  This month's challenge was set by Anne Patterson and she has a fabulous sketch for you to try... check out the details HERE... there are already some fabulous entries!!

I created two cards with Anne's fabulous Sketch Challenge.
Noel
On this card I used the gorgeous new Snowflakes 01 (CB1178), Snowflakes 04 (CB1181) and the Words 20 (CB1100). I layered the snowflakes, added a touch of stickles and popped a brad in the centre. The Noel word was coated with stardust gel pens then highlighted with stickles.

Joy
I decided to create a card using the Christmas Ornaments 06 (CB1056) and the Words 21 (CB1101). To alter the chipboard, I used glitter glass on the word and stardust gel pens on the ornaments.
Here is Anne's challenge sketch
Looking at Chipboard From a Different Angle
The theme for this month at Scrapmatts was to try and use the chipboard in a different way.  I created a card and used the Australian Federation Screen Doors 03 CB5068.  I cut the top off of the screen door and used it as a frame for my greeting and left in untouched in mist white as I love the natural feel to the colour.  The other products used on this card can all be purchased from Craft Queen.
Hanging Stars Card Set
I had a play with the new Hanging Stars 01 chipboard set and created 3 cards with it. The only other chipboard I used was the Snowflakes 04 (CB1181) which I layered with the stars on the Silent Night card.

BRISBANE CRAFT AND QUILT FAIR
Still madly preparing for the Brisbane Craft and Quilt Fair which will be on next week from 17-21 October.  I will be teaching Paper Play mini classes with Angella Peardon at the Scrapmatts stall and also a 1 hour class, so if you would like to have a play with Scrapmatts products, pop in to the stall to book your classes... hope to see you there.  Check out the link HERE to the Scrapmatts site for details.

Thanks so much for stopping by.

Cathy :))
