Danger - Heartbreaker

Scrap The Boys - Metal Theme
A quick one for Scrap The Boys.  Had to use metal in this LO.  Think I have it covered.  I cut up a coke can, embossed and inked it in black Stazon then punched some eyelets in some of the gear centres.  Added some chain with metal brads Used a metallic heart sticker with a metal embellishment for my title.

Scrap The Boys

Call Me Kramer

Haven't had much time to scrap this month, so I'm trying to get a few last minute challenges done.  This one is for Scrap the Boys and the challenge was: A nickname and how it came about.

I had to wait until this morning to get a pic of Luke when he finally managed to get out of bed.  We call him Kramer because when he wakes up in the morning his big fro flattens on both sides and he has this big curly boof going on in the front.  He looks just like Kramer from "Seinfeld".  Every time I see it it cracks me up.  This particular photo wasn't as flattened on the sides as usual but he still has the Kramer look going on.  As you can see by the face, he wasn't too impressed with me taking happy snaps first thing in the morning.

Used some Glitz Design, WRMK, Basic Grey & Sass Lass pp's for this LO.  Bit of distressing, inking and embossing to grunge it up.

Unexpected Surprise

I received a parcel in the mail earlier this month from Anna's Craft Cupboard.  When it arrived I was thinking I already received my order and wondered what it was.  To my surprise when I opened up the parcel it was the most massive bag of Prima flowers.  It filled a whole pizza box and it was bulging.  I couldn't believe my eyes.  When I checked it out on the blog I realized I had won a random draw for purchasing Prima products between 31 August and 5 September.  Thanks so much Anna - you made my day.

In Full Bloom

1,2,3 Challenge

This month's challenge at 1,2,3 Challenge the criteria were

1. Colour - orange

2. Word - Bloom

3. Technique - hand made flowers

This was my first try at these coiled fabric flowers... they didn't come out too bad for my first attempt.  I used a Basic Grey cutwork paper and some orange paint for the background then sprayed a bit of smooch spritz in blue for a bit of contrast.  A touch of lace and a doily for a bit of texture and I couldn't resist a bit of bling.

Just Add Water - TCR #23

Busy busy busy at the moment but I'm trying to stay up to date with my Colour Room challenges. I loved the bold colours of this palette and decided to use a photo of Luke mucking around in the pool whilst on holidays.  I just love his wet curls in this pic.  He was threatening to squirt me if I didn't stop taking photos.

Decided to use paint again!!  a bit of hand cutting of a Ruby Rocks pp, some bold We R Memory Keepers and Fancy Pants papers and a Unity stamp for the sun.  I uploaded this LO to TCR last night but decided it needed something else, so I added the black splatters of paint and I'm much happier with it now.

100% Pure Love

Haven't had much time to scrap lately as I'm going through all my scrap gear and having a big clean out.  I have so much stuff it's just ridiculous.  I  have put already put 6 massive lots of paper together for ebay.  I'm still in the process of putting kits together and sorting through my stamps.  I hope I do OK so I don't have to feel too guilty about all the money spent on scrapping gear.  I keep telling myself I won't buy any more but I just can't seem to stop myself.

Anyway in between sorting I managed a LO for Kraft It Up.  This month you had a picture for inspiration and of course use Kraft c/s.  Love this pic of Luke.  Used paint as a background on my Kraft c/s and some old Cosmo Cricket (get happy) ... one of my favs.  Made a banner with c/s embossed with Cuttlebug Argyle folder and attached to some string with frayed knots.  Added a little doily, some fabric and a button for an embellie to add a bit of texture and finished with a few border strips.

Live Life to the Max

The Colour Room #22

Decided to make a boy LO this time as I am finding I tend to do girly LO's for The Colour Room.  Took me a while to find papers for this one as I'm a bit anal and like to get as close to the palette as possible.  Went through all my stash, but finally found some old Basic Grey Peripheral and Urban Couture and also some Bo Bunny Mamma Razzi.  To grunge it up I added some splatters of paint and tore my layered papers.

YAY!!! - Published Again

Very excited as I found out yesterday I have had another LO accepted for Scrapbooking Memories... that's 4 now.  I'm on a roll.

Be True to Yourself

Challenge Heaven - Number Challenge

Thought I better get cracking on my challenges for this month as I had a slow one last month.

This is my take on the challenge.  The criteria was 1 photo, 2 ribbons, 3 pp's and a 4 word title.

I thought I would use this recent pic of Luke.  Decided to use paint again... can't help myself... it's my fav thing at the moment. Used Prima and 2 different Bo Bunny pp's, some red and black ribbon and my 4 word title is "Be True to Yourself".  Decided to emboss the blue BB paper with a Sizzix folder for a bit of texture and used black paint & bubble wrap  and some distressing on the Prima paper then machine stitched the corner of the red BB paper.  Finished off with a few layered embellies.
