The Scrapbook Store - Bo Bunny Secret Garden Collection

 Hi Everyone,

Today I am sharing my final layout for the month for The Scrapbook Store created with the beautiful Bo Bunny 'Secret Garden' Collection.  Why not pop in to the The Scrapbook Store and check out this gorgeous collection of papers while they are still in store.

Take Time to Smell The Roses
I love to look through Pinterest for inspiration photos and came across this lovely pic which I thought would go beautifully with the Bo Bunny Secret Garden range.  I have fussy cut the pretty flowers from the 'Roses' pp and layered them with a couple of Doodlebug mini paper doiles to frame my photo.

I have to admit that I adore Blue Fern chippies and have used the gorgeous Collage Border which I cut up into 3 separate pieces.  I sponged the pieces with Liquitex surface prep gesso and whilst still wet I applied a mix of Stampendous aged shabby pink and aged rose embossing powders.  I love the vintage/shabby effect you can create with these embossing powders!!

The colours in this range a really vibrant, so to achieve a softer and dreamier effect I have lightly sponged over the background papers with Liquitex gesso, and used the Tim Holtz latticework stencil with Prima Modelling Paste.

Hi Cathy here sharing my creations with this month’s gorgeous new Collections from Kaisercraft – Cottage Rose and Sea Breeze.

I am loving the Cottage Rose collection, which has a pretty shabby chic feel with beautiful floral, damask and weatherboard patterned papers… just a gorgeous collection all around!!

“Be Your Own Kind of Beautiful”
For this layout I went to town with fussy cut flowers from the beautiful ‘Floral Bouquet’ pp, which I layered with a few Collectables and stickers from the 12x12 Sticker Sheet, creating a pretty cluster to surround my photo.
background paper with Derivan modelling paste using the beautiful Floral Lace Designer Template, and randomly stamped around the edges with the lace border from the Cottage Rose stamp set.  I finished off with some flicks of candy Kaisermist and diecut butterflies from the C6 Butterflies Decorative Die.

The new glitter cardstock adds a lovely touch of sparkle to the main flower cluster… so many gorgeous colours to choose from!! I diecut the Berry Vine Decorative Die from the pistachio glitter cardstock.  Looks so much prettier in real life!

I have to admit that teal is one of my all-time favourite colours, so when I clapped my eyes on the Sea Breeze collection, I was in love!!  Beautiful flowers mixed in with a lovely variety of pretty patterned papers and contrasting black and white to make the teal colours pop and you have a collection which is a pure delight!!

”Happiness"
OMG how gorgeous is the Speciality Ripple Gloss Paper from the Sea Breeze Collection!!  Pull out a couple of co-ordinating mists and you have a stunning background created in an instant!!  I chose to combine the Turquoise with the Wisteria Kaisermists to create a luscious contrast against the white background, then flicked over this with the Winter Grey Kaisermist to create a little more depth, and a touch of sparkle with some lilac rhinestones.
For my title I diecut the happiness word from the new release Decorative Die Word Set  – Happiness in violet Weave Cardstock to make it pop and tie in with the wisteria Kaisermist.
Kaisercraft Product: Sea Breeze – Paper – P2016 Waterlily, P2021 Raindrop, P2022 Swirl, PS448 Speciality Gloss Paper – Ripple | SS310 12x12 Sticker Sheet, CT853 Collectables | CD177 Cardstock Weave - Violet | DD758 Decorative Die Words – Happiness | Kaisermist KM120 Wisteria, KM112 Winter Grey, KM105 Turquoise | SB705 Rhinestones – Lilac | T331 Sanding Block | T303 Foam Tape Other Product: Ink

”Special Memory”
I chose to use the other gorgeous Specialty Diecut paper from this range to create my second layout, as I loved the weatherboard teamed with the pretty blooms… no need to pull out my scissors for fussy cutting here, as I used some of the beautiful blooms from the Collectables.
I love to distress and grunge up my creations, as it adds a layer of texture and dimension, so for this layout I cut random slits in the Specialty Paper and distressed the edges so that you can see the pretty background paper peeking through.  The Paper Blooms were given distressed finish by flicking with a touch of turquoise Kaisermist, then dipping the edges of the flower in gesso and sprinkling the wet gesso with aged embossing powder… hard to see in the pictures, but it looks really pretty and very shabby chic.
One of the other techniques I love to use to create a distressed/shabby look, is to sand the edges of my papers and photos to expose the white core using one of my favourite tools – the Kaisercraft Sanding Block!!  I love the illusion of dimension this creates on my layouts.

”Celebrate Your Day”
How fabulous is the new release Decorative Die Words – Occasions Pack… it has all the basic greetings covered to create handmade cards for the special people in your life.

The Scrapbook Store DT - Bo Bunny Secret Garden

Hi all,

This month for The Scrapbook Store I am creating with the beautiful Bo Bunny 'Secret Garden' Collection.

This collection has a pretty Spring garden theme in shades of purples, blues and pinks, with hints of silver foil.

The Whole World is a Garden
For this layout I chose to go with the pink toned patterned papers and sourced my photo from Pinterest.

The Green Tara azaleas were the perfect fit with these pp's and the fussy cut blossoms.

How gorgeous is the new Blue Fern Serendipity Medley background stamp!!  I have randomly stamped with this and embossed in Stampendous metallic sterling silver to tie in with the lovely foil paper accents.

The Scrapbook Store DT - Bo Bunny Secret Garden

Hi everyone,
Today I am sharing my 2nd layout for the month created for The Scrapbook Store using the beautiful new BoBunny 'Secret Garden' collection.  This range comes with matching 12x12 Sticker Sheet, brads, Noteworthy Diecuts and Buttons, as well as a lovely 12x12 vellum paper.  Click on the BoBunny link for quick access.

Pretty as a Picture

Went for a soft and feminine look on this layout by fussing cutting the lilacs and accenting the pretty purples with white lacy doilies and masking with the Tim Holtz Doily stencil.

The Blue Fern Chipboard Treasured Floral Frame and WOW Chipboard Pretty Wordlet were altered by coating with Liquitex Gesso then whilst still wet covering with Stampendous Aged Embossing Powder and heat setting.  I also embellished the chipboard frame with a couple of the matching brads from the BoBunny Secret Garden Collection.

The Scrapbook Store Bo Bunny Secret Garden - More Than Words April Challenge

Hi everyone.

A new month with new projects created for The Scrapbook Store!!  This month I am creating with the new Bo Bunny 'Secret Garden' Collection - a beautiful range in lilac, blue, soft pinks and hints of green with a garden theme full of pretty florals, patterns and the sweetest little birds.

Enjoy the Journey
For this layout I was inspired by this month's Challenge at More Than Words Challenge Site.  Pop in to the 'More Than Words blog for details and challenge rules and while you're there, check out the gorgeous creations from the super talented Design Team and prepare to be inspired!!

Word Inspiration - Escape
Creative Challenge - Mood Photo

I was drawn to the  'Greenhouse' pp which has all these lovely patterned circles in pretty colours and different sizes.  To make the circles pop I stamped around them with various circle stamps, then fussy cut around them.  Keeping to the circle theme, I added some cute Doodlebug lilac mist enamel sprinkles and a gorgeous Blue Fern Chipboard small circle flourish to frame my photo.

I have used foam tape to create depth when overlapping the circles, then added a few Green Tara mini blossoms and TSS mini flowers here and there.
Green Tara – 2.8cm Mini Blossoms – White
Tip:  If you want to recreate this look but don't have circle stamps you could use different sized bottle caps and lids with black mist or watered down black paint to make the circles pop.

To create the background I stenciled with  the Tim Holtz bubble stencil and ink, then stamped over the top with the new Blue Fern Brocade Flourish stamp in sky blue Ranger archival ink, and to create an overall softness I flicked with Pink Ladies Pink Lindys Stamp Gang mist, dried off then flicked with White Kaiser Mist.

The beautiful Blue Fern Chipboard flourish frame was altered by first coating with gesso, then once dry, inking in green and purple inks - inks are listed below
