Zeus and Zoe - Christmas Tag

Hi Girls,

I have my second project for the month at Zeus and Zoe using some of the goodies from Marivic's vintage kit.

I decided to make a Christmas tag using one of the gorgeous Manor House Creations flowers available for purchase from the Zeus and Zoe Etsy Store, which I altered with a beautiful gold vintage button in the centre of the flower and then highlighted the petals with some gold stickles.  The glittered leaf came from a berry spray which I pulled apart which also came in my kit.

I used an extra large shipping tag which I coloured with pearlescent inks, then covered with some Websters and Bo Bunny pp's which I bordered with some gorgeous gold braid.  A gold bling flourish and some splashes of gold paint tied in with all the other elements for this month's sparkle and shine Christmas challenge... see HERE.  Even the stitched ribbon at the top of the tag was sprayed with gold mist.

Zeus and Zoe materials:  Manor House Creation flower, gold vintage button, glittered leaf, gold braid

Other Materials used:  Shipping tag, Kaisercraft tag, Recollections bling flourish, Websters and Bo Bunny pp's, Craft Queen stitched ribbon, Brilliance inks, gold paint, gold glimmermist, Stickles.

To decorate my rustic tree I used some lovely ribbon and vintage buttons from my Zeus and Zoe kit.

Some vintage music paper which also came in my kit was used to cover the star, which I topped with a spray of gold glittered berries and leaves.

Scrapmatts - A Sad Goodbye

Hi Girls,

So sad that this will be my last post at Scrapmatts  A huge thank you to the wonderful Sofie and Andrew, the gorgeous DT girls and all the lovely ladies who take the time to comment on our DT creations for making my time at Scrapmatts so fabulous.   I've had the most amazing time creating with all the fantastic Scrapmatts chipboard, but sadly it's time to make way for some new talent.. I am dying to see who made the 2013 Scrapmatts DT... not long now!!  I still have a massive stash of Scrapmatts chippies, so you will still see my creations in the gallery from time to time.

Jingle All The Way
Well the theme this month is all things Christmas... I have created 2 tags, 2 cards and a mini Christmas album.

Mini Christmas Album
I had 2 of the larger Christmas Ornaments in my stash and decided to create a quick mini album with them.  They come with a frame and backing, so I used the backing as a stencil to cut out 2 extra inserts to make a 6 page album, and embellished each page with different chipboard elements.

Chipboard used:  Christmas Ornaments 08 CB6025, 09 CB6026 and 10 CB1183, Snowflakes 01 CB1178, 02 CB1179 and 05 CB1182, Reindeer 01 CB1093, Holly 01 CB1104, Words 14 CB1061, 20 CB1100 and 21 CB1101, Christmas Scene 01 CB6070, Kitchenware 02 CB1138.

Vintage Christmas Tags
Love the new chipboard tags!! I have created  2 vintage tags by inking the tags in gold then covering them with some gorgeous MME and Teresa Collins vintage papers.  I finished them off by embellishing them with snowflakes and  Christmas word chippies.

Chipboard used:  Tags 01 CB3003, Snowflakes 01 CB1178, Hanging Stars 01 CB5097, Words 14 Believe CB1061

Shabby Chic Christmas Cards
You will have probably guessed by now that I am very partial to the shabby/chic style.  I was working on these last month and was originally going to create 2 sweet birthday cards, but as the theme was Christmas I changed them up by adding some snowflakes and Christmas word chippies, then grunged them up with some gesso and glimmermist to create 2 shabby Christmas cards.

Chipboard used:  Bird Cages 02 CB1074, Snowflakes 04 CB1181, Words 20 Noel CB1100, Words 21 Joy CB1101

Craft Queen - The Sweetest Thing

Hi Girls,

I have had a bit of fun creating 2 Birthday Cards with washi tape and the lovely  MME 6" The Sweetest Thing - Bluebell paper pad which you can purchase from Craft Queen.

To make the greeting label on the card I used some Turquoise Check Washi Tape on cardstock and then cut out the label with a Cuttlebug die.

On  my 2nd card I attached the Turquoise Stripe Washi Tape to the Turquoise and White Scallop Ribbon and then pleated to make a pretty border.

OUAS - December Challenge

Hi Girls,
I have the December Challenge for Once Upon a Sketch to share with you.

Theme: It's December...
We would like you to create a layout and interpret the theme "'It's December.. " however you like based on the following sketch. You can journal as little or as much as you like, but your layout must incorporate this theme and the sketch below. Please make sure that we see some sort of journalling on your layouts and please tell us where your journalling is . Hidden journalling is perfectly fine.

Ideas for Journalling: We know that not everyone celebrates Christmas in December, but if you do we would love to hear all about it. If not, then tell us anything that you like about December..celebratory on not!

Pop on over to the OUAS site for some gorgeous inspiration from the super talented DT and Guest Designer Tara Orr and while you're there, check out all the fabulous prizes up for grabs from our wonderful sponsors this month!!

Zeus and Zoe December Challenge

Hi everyone,

It's the 1st of the month which means a new challenge for Zeus and Zoe.  It's my month to set the challenge and as Christmas is almost upon us, I decided on a Christmas challenge... here are the details.

For this month's challenge I have made it very simple.  I would like to see a Christmas project with at least 3 elements that sparkle and shine… they can be 3 of the same type of elements or 3 different elements as long as you have at least 3 sparkle and shine elements on your creation.

This could be anything metallic and shiny… think recycled jewellery, gold or silver buttons, charms, foil paper metallic inks or embossing powders just to name a few... or sparkle and bling elements like glitter and rhinestones.

All is Bright

Well I went a bit crazy the with sparkle and shine elements on my Christmas LO.  In my fabulous Zeus and Zoe vintage kit were some lovely glittered berries, silver foil doilies, flower button with a bling centre, silver pearl trim and an aqua crochet doily, which I used in my layered details.

Some of the other sparkle and shine items I used were glitter pattern paper, Glimmer mist, metal and crystal charms, aqua and gold acrylic flowers, Kaisercraft rhinestones and sparklets.

Silver Pearl Trim from Zeus and Zoe Kit
Glittered Berry Branches and Silver Foil Doilies from Vintage Kit
Aqua Crochet Doily which came in my kit

List of Materials:  Zeus and Zoe vintage button, pearl trim, paper and crochet doilies, Berry branch, MME and Bo Bunny pp's, Martha Stewart snowflake punch, Dienamics doily die, my2angels charm and acrylic flowers, Kaisercraft sparklets and rhinestones, Scarlet Glimmermist,

To see all the gorgeous vintage goodies from the Zeus and Zoe Etsy shop click HERE.  Marivic will also make vintage kits to order.
