Kaisercraft DT - Back to Basics Collection

Hi everyone,
Today I am sharing Kaisercraft's 3rd Collection for May, the new "Back to Basics" range.  This fabulous collection comes in 6 colours, each with a stripe, polka dot, damask and script pattern.  You can use one colour range to create a monochromatic LO or mix and match the colours together.  There are also matching "Necessaties" Captured Moments cards in 3x4 and 4x6 which are a fabulous way to add a bit more detail and layers to your LO's.

“Enjoy the Little Things” Layout
For my first LO I was immediately drawn to the pretty pink and sea breeze pp's as they went went together so beautifully.  To soften the background I used the Moroccan Lattice Template and Derivan Light Modelling Paste, then light splattered some turquoise Kaisermist, which I mixed with a little white paint to make a pastel turquoise to match in with the pastel colours of the papers.

For my title I cut up one of the 3x4 "Necessaties" Captured Moments Cards and a Party Time Overlay... and who can resist the cute little Bee Wooden Flourishes!!  I altered them by brushing on a little of the pink Kaisermist to give them a little shimmer.

Kaiser Product: Back to Basics - Paper – P1842 Seabreeze Damask, P1844 Pink Damask, CM129 Captured Moments 3x4 Cards – Necessities, CD650 Cardstock - Smooth White, KM105 Kaisermist – Turquoise, KM110 Kaisermist – Pink, T614 Template – Moroccon Lattice, EM418 Party Time Overlays, CS853 Texture Stamp – Flutter, FL474 Wooden Flourish – Bees, TM802 Black Printed Tape, IP719 Ink Pad - Black, KC001 Kaisercolour – White, T303 Foam Tape
Other Product:  DM-1MM2M32 Derivan Matisse Light Modelling Paste, sequins, doilies

“Hello Lovely” Layout
On my second LO, I went to one of my fav colour combos, which is red, black and white.  The black and white pp's would look amazing teamed with any number of vibrant colours.... pink, aqua, yellow... so many delicious colour combos!!
To make my red misting stand out on the black background, I sponged some gesso down first, masked over the top with one of the new Damask Quarters Template, then applied the red Kaisermist with a brush to allow the masking to show through.
To make my title pop, I used the Script Words Clear Stickers on white cardstock, then cut around the stickers, making sure to leave a bit of a border.  I just had to fussy cut the damask pattern... a little fiddly, but it created a lovely border strip, once I popped it onto a bit of foam tape.

Kaiser Product: Back to Basics - Paper – P1840 Black Damask, CM129 Captured Moments 3x4 Cards – Necessities, CD101 Cardstock - Weave Coconut, CD135 Cardstock - Weave Scarlet, DD101 Decorative Die – Lacey Borders, CB153 Corrugated Cardboard Sheets, KM109 Kaisermist – Red, T621 Template – Damask Quarters, ST919 Clear Stickers – Script Words, TM802 Black Printed Tape, IP719 Ink Pad - Black, F664 Paper Blooms – Fire Red, F601 Paper Flowers – Snow, KC001 Kaisercolour – White, T303 Foam Tape

 “Butterfly” Card
A quick and easy card created by layering the beige and pink script and damask pp's and embellishing with the gorgeous "Butterfly" Decorative Die.  The Nesting Square Brackets are becoming one of my firm favourites when it comes to cardmaking.  I decided to emboss the white diecut with the "Flourish" embossing folder, and left it plain to create a little soft background for the butterfly.

Kaisercraft DT - Scrap Yard Collection

Hi Everyone,

This week for my Kaisercraft Design Team projects, I am sharing the  new "Scrap Yard "Collection which has a grungy masculine feel.  I loved creating with this collection as it's not often you come across a fabulous masculine range of papers!

 “Good Times” Layout
I used the new Flora Quarters Template and chose the lovely woodgrain section to create my background.  I masked the template with gel medium, then applied the Antique Gold Kaisermist over the top, with a few random flicks of Charcoal Kaisermist.
The matching Collectables has a variety of cog diecuts which I mixed with some diecuts cut with the pp and the Cog Decorative Die.  I also used the cute marker from the Geo Tags Decorative Die.   I found the Cork Sheets go beautifully with the range of papers and cut the Film Strip Decorative Die in cork to fit in amongst my layers.

Kaisercraft Design Team Finalist Entry 2015-2016

Hi Everyone,
I am so excited to share my creations as a Finalist for Kaisercraft's 2015-2016 Design Team!!   I have had the most fabulous time being part of the Kaisercraft Design Team , it's been a dream gig.  So I am hoping, I will have the chance to stay on for a 2nd year, as I absolutely ADORE creating with all their gorgeous products!!   So here it goes... keep your fingers crossed for me!!

Kaisercraft  have sent us 2 gorgeous new, upcoming collections to create our projects with, and I ADORE both of them and think they will be flying out the door when they are released later this year!!

First up is the "Time Machine" Collection which has a vintage grunge theme with a masculine feel to it, but as you will see the papers can also work beautifullly on a feminine LO as well.

 “Adventure Awaits” Layout
I was immediately drawn to the circular patterns on one of the papers and if you are a regular vistor to my blog, you will know that I love to fussy cut.  It's a great way to create depth to your LO's, if you layer the fussy cut elements with foam tape

I also nearly always add some form of mixed media to my LO's and have used the Diamond Template with gel medium, so that you are still able to see the patterned paper underneath the masking.  I then applied the yummy new Turquoise Kaisermist with a brush and flicked a little of the Antique Gold Kaisermist to add a bit of contrast.  It doesn't tranlate well in my photos, but they have a beautiful sparkly shimmer to them.
Kaisercraft have a fabulous range of Texture Stamps which I am totally addicted to.  I think I have nearly all of them and they are one of my staples when creating a LO.  Here I have used the Grid and Stains Texture Stamps to add a bit more depth to my background and the Film Edges with black Stazon ink to frame my photo.

Kaiser Product: Time Machine - Paper – P1918 Steam Engine, P1921 Ironclad, P1922 Coggler, P1924 Gadget, T611 Template – Diamonds, KM105 Kaisermist – Turquoise, KM102 Kaisermist – Antique Gold, CS154 Texture Stamp – Film Edges, CS755 Texture Stamp – Grid, CS Texture Stamp – Stains, PT203 Printed Tape – Dominoes, PT209 Printed Tape – Ruler, PT210 Printed Tape – Film Strip, TM801 Timeless Printed Tape, IP719 Ink Pad – Black, T303 Foam Tape
Other Product:  DM-1MM2M04 - Derivan Matisse Gel Medium Gloss Finish, Stazon Ink

"Time is Precious" Layout
I thought I would show you how this range can be used for either masculine or feminine LO's by creating my 2nd LO with a few girly embellishments.  I have mentioned before that the Lattice Decorative Die is one of my all time favourite dies and I just couldn't resist using it with this vintage Collection.

I have mentioned before that the Lattice Decorative Die is one of my all time favourite dies and I just couldn't resist using it with this collection, as it goes beautiful with these vintage papers. I have used the Quarters Template and Sketchy Texture Stamp with the Turquoise Kaisermist to create my background, then overlayed it with the lattice diecuts.  I also used the Large Flourish Decorative Die with my cluster and outlined the diecuts with a black fineliner to create depth.
Kaiser Product: Time Machine - Paper – P1917 Clocks, P1919 Mechanism, P1920 Scriptorian, P1921 Ironclad, P1922 Coggler, P1923 Hourglass, T613 Template – Quarters, KM105 Kaisermist – Turquoise, DD709 Decorative Die – Lattice C6, DD702 Decorative Die – Large Flourish, ST915 Clear Stickers – Butterflies, CS878 Texture Stamp – Sketchy, FL445 Wooden Fourish – Twig and Berries, F631 Paper Blooms – Sea Breeze, F647 Mini Paper Blooms - Iceberg, EM931 Pearl Brads – Latte, SB789 Pearls – Chino, TM802 Printed Tape – Printed Black, IP719 Ink Pad – Black, T303 Foam Tape

“Celebrate Your Day” Card

Kaisercraft now also have a range of Embossing Folders and I have used the Lattice Folder and sandpaper to create the background for this card, then layered some fussy cut elements with diecuts using the Cog, Clock and Vines Decorative Dies, and finishing off with a smattering of Antique Gold Kaisermist.

Kaiser Product: Time Machine - Paper – P1917 Clocks, P1919 Mechanism, P1920 Scriptorian, P1921 Ironclad, P1922 Coggler, P1923 Hourglass, KM102 Kaisermist – Antique Gold, KM106 Kaisermist – Denim, DD706 Decorative Die – Cogs, DD303 Decorative Die –Clock, DD516 Decorative Dies - Vines, EF202 Embossing Folder – Lattice, F630 Paper Blooms –Iceberg, F647 Mini Paper Blooms - Iceberg, AS251 Alpha Stickers – Black, RS411 Sparklet – Cameo, IP719 Ink Pad, CD511 C6 Card Pack – Kraft, T303 Foam Tape,
Other Product: DM-1MM2M10 Derivan Gesso, sandpaper

“Especially For You” Tag
For my last project with this Collection, I created this pretty altered gift tag . I wanted to make the Wooden Flourish Cog pop on this tag, and found the Antique Gold Kaisermist a little dark, so I mixed it with a  little of the Yellow Kaisermist to give it a more golden tone, then stamped over it with the Script Texture Stamp to grunge it up.  Why not use a little big of bling to make your projects sparkle and shine.  Here I used the Ebony Sparklets to highlight my tag.

Kaiser Product: Time Machine - Paper – P1919 Mechanism, P1921 Ironclad, P1923 Hourglass, P1924 Gadget, P1925 Gears, CD112 Cardstock Weave – Latte, KM102 Kaisermist – Antique Gold, KM103 Kaisermist – Yellow, KM105 Kaisermist – Turquoise, DD303 Decorative Die –Clock, CS876 Texture Stamp – Crackle, CS752 Texture Stamp – Script, FL399 Wooden Flourish – Cogs, RS409 Sparklet – Ebony, CD512 C6 Card Pack – Kraft, PT212 Printed Tape – Arrows Black, IP719 Ink Pad, T303 Foam Tape,
Other Product: ribbon

The second range I received is the stunning "Silver Bells" Collection which is a gorgeous vintage Christmas range in pretty pastels.  I am in LOVE!!!  These papers are so soft and dreamy and just a little different from the traditional Christmas colours.

“Merry and Bright” Layout
I adore this old Christmas photo of Brittany in her Santa hat.  The Christmas joy on her face just shines through and it never fails to make me smile.    I am going through a phase of ripping and tearing my papers at the moment, as I love the texture it creates, and it's a great way to play and layer your pattern papers.  To add some softeness, I have applied gesso with a palette knife to the torn edges.
The Doily and Lacy Border Decorative Dies are a perfect match for this beautiful Collection of papers, and how gorgeous is the Berry Vine Decorative Die... so pretty and delicate!!  I was over the moon when I found out Kaisercraft were making a die out of my absolute favourite Wooden Flourish design.  Now I can cut it in any patterned paper I want, the options are endless!!

Kaiser Product: Silver Bells – Paper – P1927 Baubles, P1929 Wonderland, P1930 Carol, P1931 Frosty, P1932 Joy, P1933 Good Wishes, P1934 Merry Christmas, KM110 Kaisermist – Pink, KM106 Kaisermist – Denim, DD522 Decorative Die – Berry Vine, DD504 Decorative Die – Doilies, DD101 Decorative Dies – Lacy Borders, CS855 Texture Stamp – Scallop Lace, F658 Mini Paper Blooms – Dusty Pink, F630 Paper Blooms – Iceberg, RS464 Rhinestone Flourish – Antique Rose, EM930 Pearl Brads – Pearl, IP727 Ink Pad – Lagoon, T303 Foam Tape
Other Product: DM-1MM2M10 Derivan Gesso, DM-1MM2M32

 “BeYOUtiful” Layout
Again, I thought I would show you how versatile Kaisercraft ranges are!  For my second LO, I have created a non-Christmas page, and you would never guess these papers came from a Christmas range.   I have cut the pink paper into rectangles and used the gesso and palette knife technique to create a soft and dreamy feel and masked over them with the flourish design from the new Damask Quarters Template.
The pink stamping was created by mixing the Petal Pink and Berry Ink onto a craft sheet and mixing with a spritz of water, then applying the watered down ink to the Hessian Texture Stamp, to create a soft distressed image.  I love to using washi tape to frame my LO's and have used the Pink Damask Printed Tape here, which I softened by lightly applying gesso over the top with my fingertip.   This range has a beautiful paper with an overall rose pattern, that is just the thing for any of you who love to fussy cut!!

Kaiser Product: Silver Bells – Paper – P1927 Baubles, P1928 Believe, P1930 Carol, P1931 Frosty, P1932 Joy, T621 Template - Quarters Damask, KM106 Kaisermist – Denim, DD500 Decorative Die – Script Words, DD503 Decorative Die – Butterflies, FL342 Wooden Flourishes – Funky Butterflies, FL474 Wooden Flourishes – Bees, F658 Mini Paper Blooms – Dusty Pink, F647 Mini Paper Blooms – Iceberg, CS153 Texture Stamp – Hessian, IP731 Ink Pad – Berry, IP725 Ink Pad – Petal Pink, SB786 Pearls – Rose, PT206 Printed Tape – Pink Damask, T303 Foam Tape
Other Product: DM-1MM2M10 Derivan Gesso, DM-1MM2M32 - Derivan Matisse Light Modelling Paste

"Tis The Season" Card
I followed through with the ripping and tearing technique on my LO with this card, and embossed the centre panel with the new Geo Embossing Folder.  The Dusty Pink and Iceberg Paper Blooms are the perfect match for this Collection of papers, which is something Kaisercraft do really well.  You can always find one of the coloured blooms to match in with each paper range.

Kaisercraft DT - Say Aloha Collection

Hi Everyone,

Today I am sharing my projects created with Kaisercraft's new bright and beautiful "Say Aloha" Collection.  This range has a gorgeous tropical feel to it and is perfect for those Summer holiday pics.

“Smile” Layout
I decided to use this recent photo of Brittany because it's predominantly white, and I used the white patterned paper for my background to make the vibrant colours in the pattern papers really pop.  I used the gorgeous diecut specialty paper which I cut into a couple of pieces and layered it with some of the diecuts from the matching Collectables.

How gorgeous is the new "Damask Quarters" Template!!  These are fabulous value at 4 templates for the price of one!  I have used some whipped spackle, then stamped over the top with the Hessian and Laugh Texture Stamps,  and finished off with some of the new Lime Kaisermist.
