Hi Girls,

I have a beautiful Printer's Tray and 2 cards to share using some of the new range of Collections Elements that I was given to play with from the lovely Nicole at Craft Queen.

Loved creating with the new Collections heart shaped printer's tray.  This is perfect to create a lovely gift for a family member or a special friend.  I kept it fairly simple using some Prima 6x6 Fairy Belle pp's for the background and coordinating the paper with some new Collections pink butterflies, Printed Ephemera and Labels Old and adding some dimension and texture with some lace, twine, charms and pearl trim from Craft Queen.  I painted the printer's tray in cream and coated with crackle medium, then used some Tim Holtz Victorian Velvet distress ink to accentuate the crackle.  The pretty flourish chipboard is from Scrapmatts.

List of Materials:  Collections heart printers tray, Printed Ephemera, Labels Old, pink Butterflies, Craft Queen lace, pearl trim, twine, heart charm, Prima 6x6 Fairy Belle paper pad, Scrapmatts chipboard flourish, vintage button, Tim Holtz distress ink,  paint, crackle medium

Meg's Garden - Forget Me Not Collection #2

Hi Girls,

Meg's Garden has added a 2nd Collection to the beautiful Forget Me Not papers designed by Denise.  I love creating with flowers to make beautiful feminine LO's and Meg's papers and embellishments allow me to do just that... I'm in heaven!!

ADORE

On this Spring inspired LO I have used the Forget Me Not #2 Chasing Butterflies pp which I fussy cut  and trimmed with some paper lace border strips and then used the Kiwi German Glitter Glass for my flower centres.

I used some of the remainder of the Chasing Butterflies pp to cut a lace doily with a Cheery Lyn doily die as the background for my flower cluster.  The flower cluster was made using Dusty Attic Cornsilk and Smokey Blue flowers and pink open paper roses.  I also used some Scrolls with Forget Me Nots paper to cut some paper ribbon which I inked in green.  The Forget Me Not Tag Transparencies were perfect for my Tim Holtz Ornate Plate embellishment title.  I coated the ornate plate with gesso and rubbed it back when almost dry to create a distressed look.

To add a lovely fresh Spring feel I used Graphic 45 reverse side of Fashionista Perfumeries to frame my photo then distressed some bandage and added a border of 3cm floral lace to add texture.  Of course I couldn't finish my Spring LO without adding some butterflies which were cut from the Forget Me Not Collection #1 Butterflies and Blue.  I highlighted them with the Kiwi German Glitter Glass for a little sparkle and backed them with a diecut butterfly.

Meg's Garden materials:
Forget Me Not Collection #2 - Chasing Butterflies, Scrolls With Forget Me Nots, Forget Me Not Tag Transparencies
Forget Me Not Collection #1 - Butterflies and Blue
Graphic 45 Fashionista - Perfumeries
Dusty Attic flowers - Cornsilk and Smokey Blue
Pink open paper roses
Tim Holtz Ornate Plates
German Glitter Glass - Kiwi
Paper Lace strips
3cm floral lace
Other Materials:  Fancy Pants pp, Scrapmatts leaf spray chipboard, Cheery Lynn doily and butterfly dies, Berry sprays, mulberry leaves, Pink Paperie pearl brad, bandage, gesso, ribbon trim, Versamagic ink

The theme for this month's challenge at Scrapmatts is super simple... make a card, atc or tag using Scrapmatts chipboard... so give it a go for a chance to win a voucher to spend at Scrapmatts.

OUAS - July Reveal

Hi Girls,
Sorry for the recent absence, but I have had so much going on at home, which hasn't left me much time to be in front of my computer... but I will be around this week to catch up and see what you have all been creating.

Today is my reveal for Once Upon a Sketch.  I am so excited to be teamed with such an amazingly talented and inspirational group of ladies.. it's a little daunting seeing how talented all the girls are!!.. and a huge thank you to the lovely Nadia for inviting me to be part of it all.

This month the theme is:   Friends
We would like you to create a layout and interpret the theme "Friend", however you like, based on the following sketch. You can journal as little or as much as you like, but your layout must incorporate this theme and the sketch below.

**Please make sure that we see some sort of journalling on your layouts and please tell us where your journalling is . Hidden journalling is perfectly fine**

Ideas for journalling: one of your current friends, a childhood friend, an unexpected friendship, what having friends mean for you, a friend that you miss or have lost, family member who is your closest friend, a scrappy/online friend, a special person that has touched your life, someone who has helped you out lately, a friend that you couldn't do without, your children's friends/classmates etc.

Pop on over to the OUAS blog site to see all the gorgeous creations from the Design Team.  I am hoping you will all be inspired to enter this month's challenge and can't wait to see all the fabulous entries.

Sisters Are Friends For Life
For this challenge I am sharing a LO I created about my most important friendship, which is with my sister.  We are very different in our personalities and sometimes we have our moments like all siblings, but we are always there for each other.  Even though we don't always vocalise our feelings, we are very close.  I do find it difficult to write down my thoughts and feelings, and am so glad I did on this LO.  My sister always checks out my creations and even though she didn't like the photo of her, which I think is lovely, she did love the LO and was very touched when she read the journaling.

For my LO I used the sketch (of course) and the colours in my photo to inspire me.  I mixed some lovely pp's in soft aquas, pinks and white which I layered, fussy cut and distressed and decided to create a background using stamps and glimmermist as I couldn't find just the right paper to fit in.  For my journalling I made a tag which is hidden under the photo and a lovely quote which reads:  "True friendship is seen through the heart, not through the eyes."

List of Materials:  MME, The Scrap Cake, Prima, Websters, Basic Grey pp's, corrugated card, Prima flowers, leaves and resin embellishments, tag, Scrapbooking Fantasies ribbon,  mulberry cherry blossoms and flower bud stalks, Collections butterflies, Hambly transparency, Cosmo Cricket rubon, Tim Holtz stamp, Girls Paperie stamp, Mpress stamp,  paper doily, glimmermist, Versamagic ink.
