Kaisercraft DT - Time Machine - Specialty Paper LO

Hi Everyone,

On the Kaisercraft  blog today the we have a gorgeous array of layouts from our talented Design Team created with the hugely popular August release "Time Machine" Speciality Papers.  

There are 2 beautiful Specialty Papers... one gloss and one acetate.  I have chosen to use the Gloss Specialty Paper for my layout, as I love being able to ink and mist the paper to reveal the beautiful clock and cog design.

Kaisercraft DT - Holy Night Collection

Hi All,

Today I am sharing the last of this month's new Collections from Kaisercraft called "Holy Night".  This beautiful range has a more traditional theme in subdued Christmas colours with hints of gold foil.

“Christmas Memories” LO

For this Christmas LO I went searching through old photos of the kids when they were much younger and came across this pic of the them just as they had woken up on Christmas morning. The first thing they would always go for is their big bag of Christmas lollies... YUM!! 

  I layered and roughly teared various pp’s to create my background and masked with the Stars Template using gold metallic paste, then highlighted the stars with Kindyglitz to make them sparkle.  To create the Christmas tree branches I used the Branch Decorative Die and green side of the “Frankincense” pp which I misted with Turquoise Kaisermist to recreate the pine green colour of the tree, then decorated the branches with a few altered Christmas ornament wooden flourishes.

I was drawn to the gold and white pp’s in the paper pad and they were the inspiration for the 2 cards and altered tag.  The Nesting Frames Decorative Die was used on both cards, utilising the negative space from the diecut on one of the cards.

Kaisercraft August Sketch Challenge

Hi there everyone… It’s time for this month’s Kaisercraft Challenge again.

Thank you to all who have entered last month, we love seeing your wonderful creations with Kaisercraft products.  This month’s Inspirational Challenge is a “Sketch Challenge”.

Just create a layout using this Sketch for inspiration, with at least 80% Kaisercraft Products from any Kaisercraft paper collection.  Please note that you can rotate the sketch around on its side or turn it upside down.

Kaisercraft DT - A Touch of Gold Collection

Today I am sharing my Design Team projects created with one of the new Kaisercraft Collections for August - "A Touch of Gold".  This fun celebratory range comes with gorgeous Foil Specialty Papers and accents to add that touch of sparkle and shine to your creations!  Keep an eye out at the Kaisercraft blog and Facebook page throughout the month to see all the amazing creations from our talented Design Team.

“You Are Fabulous” LO

I love this cool pic of Luke wearing his shades at his Year 12 Sports Day and thought the colour scheme for this range with its great mix of fun patterns were just the thing for this funky masculine LO.

I started by altering my background pp with the Geo Quarters Template and yellow Kaisermist which goes perfectly with the gold tones in this collection.  I then added a stamped border with the Film Strip Edges texture stamp which I highlighted by colouring in random sections with the yellow Kaisermist.  To add a grunge feel to my LO I stamped over the masking with the Texture Stains texture stamp and the words from the matching Stamp Set, then flicked some turquoise mixed with a touch of denim Kaisermist around the stamped images. 

To add a pop of colour and contrast, I diecut the Fabulous Decorative Die in ocean cardstock as part of my title.

“Smile Happiness Looks Good on You” LO

For this LO I have used some beautiful foil speciality papers.  The Doily Diecut Specialty Paper can be cut down in to several pieces so that you can use it over several LO's giving you great value for your purchase.  Here I have cut the outside ring by using my scissors to snip the inner dot circle which leaves you with a lovely postage stamp edge.

I have also used a couple of the foil papers from the 6.5" Paper Pad.  The plain gold foil pieces are perfect to create your own embellishments if used with Kaisercraft Decorative Dies.

Kaisercraft DT - Time Machine Collection

Hi everyone,
It's a new month and Kaisercraft have released 3 fabulous new Collections.  Rather than bombard you with all my Design Team projects at once, I thought I would share them over the next week or two showcasing each collection separately.

Today I am sharing my creations with my favourite of the 3 ranges, the gorgeous “Time Machine” Collection.  This range has a steampunk feel, with cogs, gears, gadgets and clocks in delicious teal ,cream and brown tones, and with Father's Day just around the corner, it's just the thing to create a Father's Day card for that special man in your life.

 Time Machine works beautifully with masculine or feminine projects, but as I tend to be drawn to creating feminine LO's, I decided to go with a masculine theme for my projects... BUT!!  I couldn't help myself and have created a feminine LO with this gorgeous range, which will be shown in a post later in the month.

“Love This Moment” LO
An old photo of Luke with his Dad was the inspiration for this LO. 

The background “Steam Engine” pp was altered by stamping with stamps from the Time Machine Stamp Set and Sketchy Texture Stamp, then splattered around the stamping with Antique Gold and Turquoise Kaisermist. My photo was layered with cog Collectables and clocks cut from the “Clocks “ pp as well as a cog border from the Sticker Sheet.  For a finishing touch I have used the newly released Clocks Printed Tape to frame my LO, which I have torn into strips then rubbed over with a bit of Antique Gold Kaisermist using my fingertip to give the tape a sepia look.
