Kaisercraft DT - Time Machine Collection

Hi everyone,
It's a new month and Kaisercraft have released 3 fabulous new Collections.  Rather than bombard you with all my Design Team projects at once, I thought I would share them over the next week or two showcasing each collection separately.

Today I am sharing my creations with my favourite of the 3 ranges, the gorgeous “Time Machine” Collection.  This range has a steampunk feel, with cogs, gears, gadgets and clocks in delicious teal ,cream and brown tones, and with Father's Day just around the corner, it's just the thing to create a Father's Day card for that special man in your life.

 Time Machine works beautifully with masculine or feminine projects, but as I tend to be drawn to creating feminine LO's, I decided to go with a masculine theme for my projects... BUT!!  I couldn't help myself and have created a feminine LO with this gorgeous range, which will be shown in a post later in the month.

“Love This Moment” LO
An old photo of Luke with his Dad was the inspiration for this LO. 

The background “Steam Engine” pp was altered by stamping with stamps from the Time Machine Stamp Set and Sketchy Texture Stamp, then splattered around the stamping with Antique Gold and Turquoise Kaisermist. My photo was layered with cog Collectables and clocks cut from the “Clocks “ pp as well as a cog border from the Sticker Sheet.  For a finishing touch I have used the newly released Clocks Printed Tape to frame my LO, which I have torn into strips then rubbed over with a bit of Antique Gold Kaisermist using my fingertip to give the tape a sepia look.

With Father’s Day fast approaching, this collection is just what you need to create cards for that special man in your life.  I have created 2 using the Paper Pad and Collectables, and a touch of Printed Tape and Kaisermist.  I adore the matching stamp set to this range and have used it on one of my cards.

Kaisercraft DT - Oh So Lovely Collection

Hi Everyone,

How beautiful is Kaisercraft's new "Oh So Lovely" Collection!!  It's so gorgeously feminine with a pretty pink, aqua and green colour palette and plenty of yummy floral patterns, which is just perfect for all those girly pages. 

 “Mother ‘n Daughter” Layout

This photo of me with my gorgeous girl Brittany was the perfect fit for this collection.  A bit of tearing and my trusty scissors to fussy cut those delicious blooms give this LO a lovely shabby chic feel. 

 The new "Damask" quarters template matches beautifully with the Oh So Lovely range, so I used the flourish section to create a pretty background with some whipped spackle and glitter glass.  I overlayed the masking with the "Cherish" texture stamp a the new pink Kaisermist and a few randomly placed rhinestones to create some dimension.

“Stop, Smile Breathe” Layout

How gorgeous is my nephew's wife!! She has been kind enough to allow me to use these pics of her which were taken professionally.  It looks like it was made for this collection of papers!

To add a bit of texture to my LO's I love to use corrugated cardboard.  I have painted it white to tie in with the soft and pretty colour palette.  I did tell you that you would be seeing the new "Stained Glass" decorative die popping up quite a bit in my creations... I adore this die!!

Kaisercraft DT - Antique Bazaar Collection

Today I am sharing my Design Team projects created with Kaisercraft's beautiful new vintage inspired range called "Antique Bazaar".

“Learn, Live, Hope” Layout
A great way to get more bang for your buck with your Speciality Papers is to cut them into smaller sections.  This way you get to use them on more than 1 layout.  On this page, I decided to cut down and use a portion of the "Bronze" Speciality Paper to tie in with the circular image on the background paper.  The new "Cogs" Decorative Die works perfectly with the vintage clock theme in this range.  To add a touch of colour I applied Turquoise Kaisermist with a brush to my background and subdued the colour by spraying with water to create a soft watercolour effect.

 “1949” Layout
This beautiful range of papers cries out for a vintage photo, so I went through my little stash of pics, which belonged to my mother and came across this photo is of my mum and her friends on holiday camp in the French countryside.  I think she is about 13 here (far left). 

To soften up my background and create a bit of texture I used the damask embossing folder, which I placed under my paper in random spots, then sanded over the top of the pp to create a distressed damask image.  Sanding the pp lifts the colour from the paper to leave a creamy white image.

“Time” Mixed Media Journal Page
Kaisercraft have released 4 new fabulous Quarters Templates which are great value, as you get 4 different 6x6" templates for around $7.95.  On my mixed media journal page I used the gorgeous Damask Quarters with some Ferro Paste, which has a lovely sandy texture.  The misted background was created by applying gesso to my page, then applying random sprays of the new Turquoise Kaisermist with a few random splats of the Antique Gold Kaisermist, then spraying with water and moving the page around to create a watercolour effect and some drips.

Use your leftover scraps to create a journal page.

“Time” Altered Tag

To create this tag I used the paper pad and matching collectables.  The paper pad comes with some beautiful gloss papers as well as 4 pages of diecuts.  I used one of the gloss papers as the background for my tag, and used the Kaisercraft black ink pad to highlight the beautiful damask gloss pattern, which acts as a resist.

Kaisercraft DT - Cherry Blossom Collection

 Hi Everyone,

"Hello Beautiful" Layout
 For my 1st LO I was drawn to the orange, pink and red pp's and made them pop with a white background.

 The Foliage Decorative Die is one of my favourite Kaisercraft dies.  I have cut it down into smaller pieces to tuck in amongst my layers. 

 I have used the cute new Epoxy Stickers in the candy colours, which matches beautifully with this range,

 For my second LO I went with the pink and red pp's and used black as highlights.

Kaisercraft have just released various new Clear Stickers.  Here I have used the butterflies and altered them with rhinestones.

Another new release are the Photo Overlays.  I cut one of the distressed overlays to use in amongst my layers.

Kaisercraft DT - Be-YOU-tiful Collection

Hi Everyone,
I am sharing my 2nd posting for this week at Kaisercraft using the gorgeous new Be-YOU-tiful  range.  Totally fell in love with this nature inspired range, which has some delicious papers that cry out to be fussy cut.


"Life is Full of Wonderful Memories" - Layout
Our family has wonderful memories of holidays spent on the farm in Forster.  Love that the kids were able to get a taste of what it's really like to help out with everyday chores,  like moving the cows to fresher pastures.  Loved the nature themed feel of these pp's which are perfect for those outdoorsey photos.


I love to fussy cut my papers to create depth to my LO's, so when I opened up my parcel of goodies and saw this range, I was in heaven.  So of course the first thing I did when I started my projects for this range was grab my scissors.   For this LO I fussy cut the leaves from the Graceful pp and adhered them with foam tape to the cream side of the Delightful pp to make them pop.

The background was altered with the Kaiercraft Lattice stencil using Viva Inka Gold paste, then stamped with the texture and script stamps as well as stamping around the edges with a woodgrain edges stamp.

The Kaisercraft fancy corners and fancy border wooden flourishes are becoming one of my favs.  I have left them natural to blend in with the outdoor feel to my LO.

"Loving Life"-  Layout
 Couldn't resist a little more fussy cutting for this LO.

This time I cut out the gorgeous roses and added a couple of the paper blooms, which I flattened out, so that I could tuck them in amongst the fussy cut roses.

I altered the wooden fancy heart flourish with pink embossing powder to match in with the colour scheme.

Loved the Diecut and Specialty Gloss papers that co-ordinate with this range.  Here I have used the speciality gloss paper as a resist by blending in some pink ink in both corners.  I then cut out the centre square and sandwiched the Diecut frame in between the 2 pieces of the altered gloss paper.

You receive so many beautiful diecuts in the Collectables pack, so I decided to layer them up with the papers from the Paper Pad to create a pretty tag which I accented with a couple of Sparklets and touch of Lace.
