Here are a few of my creations made with this gorgeous kit!! Keep an eye out as I have more projects to share.

"So Lovely"

I was in heaven playing with the gorgeous January kit, as it is so beautifully feminine and perfect for my shabby chic style of scrapping. On my 1st LO I had some fun with the Luminarte products from mixed media kit to create a soft and pretty background. Once I figured out the placement of my photo, I adhered the wooden doilies and chipboard alpha letters for my title from the main Kit, and also the silver flowers from the Mixed Media kit, then I coated the embellishments and pp with gesso, leaving some of the pattern visible around the edges of the paper. Once dry, I stamped a few flower branches with the ink from the main Kit, then painted and splattered over the top with African Jade Glaze and Bolivian Blue pigment powder, thinned down with a little water. I also mixed the Bolivian Blue and Tahitian Blue Primary Elements powders to create a lovely blue-mauve colour, and highlighted with the Chiffon Pink.

Items used on this LO: January Kit, Flower Add On, Mixed Media Kit (Luminarte silks and primary elements)
Items from my stash: Pink glitter glass, Stampendous floral branch stamp, paper leaves, Martha Stewart pansy border punch, gesso.

"Remember This Moment"
Love these pics of my daughter and her partner at her Senior Formal and they were a perfect fit for the blue tones of the pp's in the Janaury Kit. Kept this fairly simple by softening the pp with some gesso, then overlaying with a couple of different stamped images.  I fussy cut a few elements from the pp, for the flower cluster to frame the photo and highlighted with a touch of glitter glass. I think you can tell I am loving glitter glass at the moment!!

Items used in this LO: January Kit, Embellishment Kit - resin corner, Luminarte Azurite silk paint.
Items from my stash: gesso, stamps, blue and silver glitter glass, Versamagic ink - night sky, Martha Stewart pansy border punch.
"Simple Moments"

This photo of Brittany inspired a pretty and pink LO, with touches of black.  I punched 4 12" strips from the white pp to create a border for the pink gingham paper, stenciled and stamped the background and to add a little twist to my paint splats I used some extra fine glitter glass. To create the glitter glass splats on the background, I mixed the clear glaze with some white pva glue that dries clear and thinned down with water. I then splattered the background with the medium and while it was wet I coated the splatters with extra fine glitter glass. I love to recycle, and found the black packaging from the Prima flowers was perfect to use as part of my title.

Items used on this LO: January Kit, Flower Add On, Embellishment Add On - pink rose trim. Mixed Media Kit - clear glaze, Chiffon Pink Primary Elements.
Items from my stash: Crafters Workshop stencil, paper doily, silk leaves, EK Success border punch, stamps, gesso, pink glitter glass, Lindy's Stamp Gang Saltwater Taffy mist, Tim Holtz black soot distress ink.

Manor House Creations - Christmas OTP Project

Hi Ladies,
Christmas is almost upon us, and at this time of the year I like to create a few special OTP Christmas projects to decorate my home and give as gifts.   I am always on the lookout for OTP items to alter and recently I purchased this rustic metal heart hanging at a gift store.  Some gorgeous Manor House Creations flowers, a few diecuts, a little paper and a couple of charms were all it took to transform this sweet little ornament into beautiful Christmas decor piece.
MHC Christmas OTP - Peace Love & Joy
I love the mini glitter roses as they are perfect to add some sparkle to your Christmas creations.  To alter my heart I used the wire from the glitter mini roses to attach them by twining around the frame, then wrapped the left over metal stem around a paintbrush to curl.

I decided to use the new large Poinsettias as my main flower embellishment, but I wanted a contrast to the white glitter mini roses, so I pulled out the yellow stamens and misted the flowers with scarlet glimmermist to add a bit more sparkle.  I then replaced the yellow stamens with some green ones to match in with my Christmas colours.

I backed my heart with paper, embellished with some Kaisercraft collectables and a few charms with I altered with Viva Inca Gold paste and finished off with a bow.

MHC Product Used:  large poinsettia, glitter mini rosed - red

Other Product Used:  Metal heart hanging,  Kaisercraft Christmas Carol 6" paper pad, Kaisercraft St Nicholas collectables, stitched ribbon, button, snowflake and butterfly charms, Viva Inca Gold, Scarlet glimmermist, green stamens.

Manor House Creations - Bold and Beautiful

Hi Cathy here, with a LO to share using the Believe paper range and Spring Collection from Manor House Creations.

I decided to go with a bold colour combo of red, black and green on this page.  I started by using the Believe - Make Believe pp as my background, which I altered by masking, stamping and adding some paint splats.  I am loving washi tape at the moment, and it always seems to find its way onto my LO's.  I just tore 2 different tapes to match my colour palette and overlapped them around the edges of the pp.
To frame my photo I layered some stamped book paper, diecuts, a tag and a fussy cut border strip from the Believe - Lace pp.  I also layered a smaller version on the top right, to which I added a fussy cut butterfly image from the Believe - Elements Cards pp.  To tie in with my colour scheme, I painted the leaves and edges of my butterfly with some Luminarte pigments and a little bit of Viva croco crackling

To finish off I clustered a few of the new Spring Collection flowers down the left hand side of my photo.  I altered the large black flower from the Layout Pack - Classy by pulling out the staments and replacing with a bling centre to make the flower pop. I find the Vinettes very versatile, as you can keep them whole or cut them up to make them go further.

Once Upon a Sketch - Dec. Challenge

Hi Ladies,

Feeling extremely sad, as this will be my last DT creation for Once Upon a Sketch.  I would like to thank Nadia from the bottom of my heart for allowing me to be part of such an amazing Design Team and being able to work alongside a truly inspiring group of gorgeous ladies. Congratulations to the new Design Team, I am sure you will all have a fantastic experience, as Nadia has transformed OUAS into I would have to say, one of the best challenge sites you could ever hope to be part of and I can't wait to see what will be an awe-inspiring collection of creations in the new year.  Good luck girls and have fun!!

The journalling theme for the last challenge of the year is:

 "My favorite month"
You are free to interpret our theme any way you like but please make sure your layout is based on the sketch below and includes some journalling (hidden journalling is fine).

My favourite month of the year is December.  Even though it can be a crazy time in the lead up to Christmas.  I really enjoy, shopping for just the right gift for family and friends.  It makes me happy when I to see their excitement when they open their presents.  Planning a mouth-watering menu for Christmas lunch with my sisters, is worth all the time spent in the kitchen, if it means being able to gather all my family together to celebrate Christmas Day.  I love seeing how pretty the Christmas lights look at night, all soft and twinkling, and still feel like a little kid when they are are switched on at the beginning of December.  Quite of few of our neighbours in the surrounding streets have taken to stringing up lights too and it looks like a Christmas wonderland of an evening.  As the saying goes "It's the Most Wonderful Time of the Year".

Product Used: MME, Fancy Pants, Crate Paper, Simple Stories and Sassafrass Lass pp's, MME chipboard diecuts, Manor House Creation flowers- Ballerina, Concerto, Tea Roses - soft gold, Capri white and silver, MHC ornate frames - scallop, Existencil snowflake stencil, Cricut cut stencil, Universal fancy frame die, Cottage Cutz leaf flourish,Viva Inca Gold - silver, silver micro beads, crochet doily, stitched ribbon, Stampendous background stamp, Inkadinkado snowflake stamp, Time Holtz distress ink - tea dye, Dylusions mist - turquoise and white linen - silver Christmas pick, pearl branch.

Thanks so much for stopping by.
