Thought I would give Once Upon a sketch a try this month as this site is specifically aimed at challenging you to add more journaling to your LO's and this is something I don't always do.
Pretty much stayed true to the sketch and added my journaling on the MM journal spot. Used some American Craft for the background which I misted with Strawberry Shortcake chalk mist and added some Kaiser droplets. Layered some cute girly BG & Sass Lass pp's and distressed the edges. I find I have a hard time leaving the edges clean.. doesn't feel finished if I don't distress the edges. Just had to add some hand cut elements when I pulled out the BG Olivia paper... used them for my flower clusters... so cute!!

Number challenge- 1 piece of Kraft cardstock; 2 photos smaller than 6x4; 3 different Alphas; 4 different patterned papers (yes you can use the reverse side of one sheet as long as the pattern is different); 5 different embellishments.

You still have 10 days to add your entry to BITW.. the challenge word is Forever and there is also a sketch by the lovely Nadia Canizzo to inspire you if you choose to use it!!

Love the sneaky peeky too...good idea...I should start doing that! Gee time is running out on all these challenges now! One I've never heard of there, 2 I've done & one I think is only open to Aussies - Kraft it up - from what I remember...still have a million on my "to do" list though - think I need to start becoming a BIT more selective maybe?! :)

ReplyDeleteLove the layout. Sooo sweet. I hear you on distressing the edges,...I have the same 'problem'...lol. But this really looks great distressed or not.Is the little princess the same teenage DD that I have seen in other layouts? They sure grow up quickly!!
