Bird Is The Word - LOVE

Thanks so very much to everyone who left such lovely messages for me about losing Louie.. they really helped make me feel a little better.. still trying to get used to not seeing him at the back door every morning to greet me.. I really miss his sweet little face.  I think being stressed out about Louie left me a little run down so it wasn't surprising that I came down with a nasty flu and felt like I had been run over by a bus, so I haven't really had the energy to get much scrapping done, but I do have this fortnight's Bird Is The Word new challenge word which is "LOVE" .  To enter just use the word "Love" on your creation (your title or your journaling).  Pop on over and check out the gorgeous DT examples for some inspiration!!

With Love

This fortnight I decided to create a card using some yummy Websters papers. My layered heart embellishment was the inspiration for this card.  This was made from bits and pieces from a box I have on my work bench for little off cuts I can't bear to throw away.  I went for the feminine look by adding a pretty paper doily, some lace, ribbon and a pearl pin.  Might give this to my MIL for her birthday in October.

  2. Hey Cathy. Glad to hear you are doing well and I am sure it will take a while to get into a new routine without Louie. Remember, I have a crazy black Labrador who would love to sit at your back door....or jump at it as he is mine at the moment.
Love this card. The red sets it off and love the pin too.

  12. Such a pretty card Cathy! I really thought I'd commented on it but must have been because I'd seen it over @ the BITW DT blog. Sorry you haven't been feeling great. I had bronchitis & am only now feeling vaguely normal about 2 weeks later...
