Mother's Day Cards - Manor House Creations

Hi Everyone,
With Mother's Day almost upon us, I have been inspired to create a couple of cards using some of the gorgeous new 2014 Manor House Creations  paper collections and product.  Click on the Manor House Creations blog link to see all the new product and for your local stockists click on the link at the top of the MHC blog.
Country Estate paper collection

Today is Your Day
As I have said before, I LOVE the ornate frames, they are the perfect size for cardmaking, but are also great to use on LO's.  They come in black and white and can be altered with any medium you have in your stash, like ink, mists, paint, glitter, microbeads, gesso, crackle medium, the possibilities are endless.  Manor House Creations has a gorgeous new range of ornate frames and some new feature frames designed by Nerrida.
The country roses have been split into 2 flowers to make a open blossom and a rosebud.
I have altered the feature frame by cutting out one of the hearts, baking with pp and using a foam dot to make it pop.
MHC Products used:
Paper -  Country Estate Collection - elements
Frames - feature frames - romantique white
Flowers - country roses - lemon

 Thoughts Wandering paper collection
Love You to the Moon and Back
Two of the new paper ranges come with coordinating diecut elements sheets.  I have used the bird from the Country Estate range and the clock from the Thoughts Wandering range to create my 2nd Mother's Day card.

I have altered the beautiful rosette ornate frame with 2 coordinating glimmer mists.
I have used the new country roses again, but this time in the azure blue shade.

MHC Products used:
Paper -  Country Estate Collection - elements, Thoughts Wandering - beautiful, elements
Frames - ornate frames - rosette white
Flowers - country roses - azure blue

Other Product used:  Crafters workshop dot stencil, Memory Box diamond mesh stencil, Kaisercraft rubons, dictionary stamp and washi tape, Prima metal flower, butterfly charm, MME pearl brads, Silhouette Cameo diecut leaves, Glimmermist - denim and key lime, Lindy's Stamp Gang micas - blazing sun yellow and blimey limey, modelling paste, Versamagic ink - tea leaves, night sky.

Prima Build A Page - February

Hi Ladies,

Came across the sketch for this month's Prima Build A Page Challenge and decided to play along.

Beautiful Smile
Sketch designed by Lene Bjornerud
The feathers on the sketch were the starting point for my LO, as it made me think of the gorgeous Prima Guava Peony Brahms flowers which I have several packs of in my stash as I love the feathers and glitter accent on them.
I chose an outdoor photo of Brittany to go with the olive toned flowers and for a little contrast added a couple more Prima flowers in a burnt orange colour.  I have a massive stash of Prima pp's and used 4 different ranges which I thought blended well together.

The weatherboard pp was altered with gesso, Lindy's Stamp Gang mica powders, a Prima stencil and Viva Inca Gold in copper which you can just see under the gesso.  I started with the copper medium and stencil, but it was a bit too much, so I went over it with gesso to tone it down and was much happier.  Once the gesso was dried off, I layered various Prima stamps with sepia and black ink, then softened the stamped images with Lindy's Stamp Gang mica powder in Antique Menorah Gold applied with a water brush.
