Manor House Creations DT - True Beauty

Hi everyone, I have a LO to share created for Manor House Creations, which was inspired by the gorgeous indigo flower from the Layout Pack - Fabulous.

True Beauty Lies Within

I was playing around with flowers from my MHC stash and loved the contrast of the jade green vinette with the large indigo flower.  I created some flower clusters with these 2 vibrant flowers and softened them with a few white minuette blossoms and the blue and white Ashlee flower to blend in with my mixed media background.
I pulled apart one of the indigo flowers to create 2 flowers for my smaller side clusters and added some recycled bling jewellery to my flower centres.

To tie in with my diecut background I cut the ends off an oval cheval frame and tucked them under my photo.
MHC Product:  LO Pack-Fabulous, Vinette-jade, Solitude, Minuettes-pack, Ashlee-white,
Ornate cheval frame.

Other Product used:  Basic Grey pp's, Melissa Frances embossing folder, Kaisercraft butterfly stencil and lace stamp,  Prima rubons, Silhouette Cameo diecut background, modelling paste, Luminarte pigment powder-fern, Glimmermist-kiwi, Ek Success border punch, jade microbeads, recycled jewellery.

Thanks so much for stopping by.

Cardabilities Sketch #99

Hi everyone, Cathy here with a few cards to share using product from the new Winter 2014 Collection from Manor House Creations.

Keep Smiling
Manor House has some gorgeous new Feature Frames in this collection and on this card I have used the Noveau white feature frame as my background, which I altered by misting in pink to blend in with the fussy cut roses cut from the Beautiful You paper range.  I have pulled apart a tea rose into 2 sections to create a flat bloom which can be tucked into your layers and then a little rosebud which I used to top my ribbon bow
MHC Product:  Beautiful You-So You, Fresh and New, Feature Frame - noveau white, tea rose cream
Other Product:  Kaisercraft collectables, Lindy's Stamp Gang mist, pearl centre, satin seam binding

You Make Me Smile
The Thoughts Wandering range of papers has lovely blue tones which I have used as the background for this card.  The Beautiful pp was embossed and I distressed the edges of the Sail Away pp, then randomly brushed over with gesso,  a few flicks of glimmer mist.
One of the new Ornate Frames - elegance black was the base for my layered centre embellishment.  Wooden embellishments are very popular at the moment and Manor House has a range of cute wood elements as part of the Winter Collection.  I have used the wood elements - stamp which I altered to tie in with my colour scheme.  The Thoughts Wandering range has a coordinating diecuts elements sheet.  The cute banner was used in amongst my layers.  To finish off I used a few of the country roses in azure and softened them with a little distressed muslin.

MHC Product:  Thoughts Wandering - Beautiful, Sail Away and Elements diecuts, Ornate Frame-elegance black, Country Roses-azure Wood Elements-stamp,
Other Product:  Kaisercraft collectables, Melissa Frances embossing folder, muslin, gesso, glimmer mist sapphire

Manor House Creations - Beautiful You Collection & Cardabilities #99

Hi Everyone,

Cathy here, with a LO to share using the gorgeous new Beautiful You Collection from Manor House Creations.   I'm in love with this collection as it's so soft and feminine and a perfect range if you are into fussy cutting some of your elements.

All Natural Beauty
To create this LO I started with the reverse side of the Beautiful You-Fresh and New pp as my background which I altered with various mixed media techniques and washi tape accents.

Beautiful You Collection - Winter 2014
I love to fussy cut my pp’s to create elements.  I have to admit, sometimes it's difficult to cut into those gorgeous papers, but it's so worthwhile in the end as fussy cut elememts and a little foam tape are a wonderful way to add dimension to your LO's.  Here I used the Beautiful You-So You paper, cutting out some of the beautiful rose accents and attaching them with foam dots. I layered them under the new wooden garden gate embellishment. I cut the gate into 2 parts to frame my photo and altered the pieces by coating with gesso, then randomly applying aged embossing enamel and a few splashes of glimmer mist. Once dry I lightly stamped over the gates with a script stamp.
The country roses fit in perfectly with this range of pp’s. To make them go further, I love to pull them apart into 2 sections which makes a lovely blossom and a sweet rose bud.

There is a title word on the Beautiful You-So You pp which I cut out and trimmed down from the word Beautiful to Beauty, to become part of my “All Natural Beauty” title. I layered this with one of the new ornate frames – elegance white, which I cut in half lengthways.
The Beautiful You-Journal Sheet is so versatile. The journal labels are a great to add journalling to
your LO’s as well as being the perfect size for cardmaking. I have used the pretty little
butterfly label to frame my title words.

MHC Paper Collection:  Beautiful You – Fresh and New, Beautiful You – So You, Beautiful You – Journal Sheet
MHC Flowers:  Country roses – ivory, Idyllic – white
MHC Frames:  Ornate Frames – elegance white
MHC Wood Elements:   garden gate

Cardabilities Sketch #99
I came across the very inspiring Cardabilities sketch site a while ago and have finally gotten around to entering a card creation in one of their challenges.

Following the sketch I created my card using the yummy Kaisercraft Kaleidoscope paper pad and collectables, with one of the gorgeous new Beautiful You Ballerina flowers in pink and one of my favourites the sweet Minuettes flowers in white from Manor House Creations.

The background was misted and masked, then lightly smudged with gesso to soften the overall effect.  Using the leftover mist on my craft sheet I dragged the edges of my banner and then used a brush to paint the centre of the teeny weeny rose.

Manor House Creations - NEW 2014 Collection - Wandering Thoughts

Hi Everyone,

Manor House Creations have released 3 new gorgeous paper ranges as part of their Winter 2014 Collection and today I am sharing a LO created with the Wandering Thoughts collection, teamed with some of the delicious new flowers and frames.

The Most Beautiful View

This collections is all about travels, holidays and dreams and is both masculine and feminine with touches of greys, brown, denim blue through to a purple/pink colour.   This range also comes with a coordinating journal elements paper and a diecuts sheet.
To create this LO I decided to alter the reverse side of the Wandering Thoughts-journal pp with a coat of watered down gesso to soften the pinky/purple colour into a mauve.  I then added some gesso with a sponge diagonally across the paper as a base for my background.  Once dry, I used texture paste to mask over the gesso with a Tim Holtz floral doily stencil, then misted and inked over the masking to define the doily pattern.
I totally adore the MHC ornate frames, and was very excited to find a bunch of new frames to play with in my parcel of goodies.  I have used the Ornate Frames elegance white, which I cut into 2 sections.  I misted the floral section and added some pearls, to become part of my main flower cluster... how gorgeous are the new white lace and country blues denim flowers!!!  I then used the other frame section for my title.  I randomly stamped the frame with turquoise ink and a lace stamp, then backed the frame with Wandering Thoughts-beautiful pp and added the rubon title.  To tie in with my main flower cluster, I added one of the new turquoise country roses and a Wandering Thoughts blossom in the demin colour, which I softened with a little gesso.
