Manor House Creations - Beautiful You Layout

Hi Everyone,

Today I am sharing a layout created for Manor House Creations using the gorgeous "Beautiful You" collection of pattern papers and flowers from the Winter 2014 Collection.
To create the background I tore the yellow "In My Thoughts" pp diagonally, then backed it with the pink side of the "Fresh and New" pp.  I masked over the top using a floral stencil design and modelling paste.  Once dry, I misted with water and randomly added dabs of mimosa IZink, then spritzed with water again to created a watercolour effect.  I dried off and repeated with the geranium IZink.
I have used one of the Journal spots from the "Journal Sheet" pp, which I cut down into a banner to create my title, then lightly swiped the edges with gesso.
You would probably all know that I love to fussy cut.  Here I have fussy cut some of the roses from the pp's to tuck in amongst my flower clusters.

I also fussy cut the clock section from the "Fresh and New" pp to make a little cluster down the side of my photo.

MHC Papers:  Beautiful You Collection - In My Thoughts, Fresh and New, Journal sheet
MHC Flowers: Oh So Pretty - pink, Country Roses - cerise, Frilly Roses - ivory, Country Estate - lemon, Sweeties, Darling
Other Product: Artistcellar stencil, mesh, IZink - jasmine, mimosa and geranium, gesso, modelling paste, Viva crackle paste, Scrapmatts chipboard, crochet doily

Thanks so much for stopping by.

CSI 139 - Manor House Creations

Hi Everyone,

Today I am sharing this week's case file #139 for Color Stories Inspiration using gorgeous flowers from Manor House Creations.

This week's case file is teamed with a fabulous sketch by Emma Stafrace.

Evidence:
flowers - Manor House Creations
butterfly
string
mini brads
two of something - butterflies
cat accent

Testimony: Document something special about pets or animals.
Journaling on back - My little shadow Millie.  She loves to snuggle and this is her favourite spot - the blankie on our sofa.  When I am sitting on the sofa, she comes up to me and just waits until I fluff up the throw and say "Come on, up you come, here's your blankie."  Millie of course jumps up and immediately snuggles into her blankie, purring loudly and in total bliss.  She likes it even more if I have the blankie right up close to me.  I love hearing her purr and feeling the vibrations against my body.  It's very soothing and comforting.  Love my little fur-baby.

Love the denim rosettes.  They come in light, dark and floral as well as mixed packs.  Here I altered the light denim rosette by lightly swiping with gesso and adding a brad to the centre.

The lemon country roses team beautifully with the sweet floral patterned flower from the Oh So Pretty- blue mix flower pack.

Manor House Creations product:  Country Roses - lemon, Oh So Pretty - blue mix, Denim Rosettes - light, Mayglo - green

Kaisercraft Product:  CS153 - Clear Stamp-hessian texture stamp, CM303 - Captured Moments 6" x 4" getaway cards , and CT788 - Kaleidoscope collectables
