Bird Is the Word - Imagine





Decided to have a go at the Bird Is The Word challenge this month, which was to use the word IMAGINE.. my 1st time here!!
Love the idea of being able to create a page around a word. I found this lovely quote to use which reads " If a butterfly can flap its wings a thousand time a minute to reach its destination IMAGINE what you can do! ". Thought it would be perfect as I just love butterflies and I was able to use some of the new Prima Madeline range which has these pretty blue butterflies which I hand cut.
I have always been meaning to get around to doing a patchwork type of page and with the Prima pp already in squares it was so simple. I just picked out all the blue squares and distressed the edges.. so quick, which is a rarity for me!!

    You know when sometimes LOs just blow you away? Well, this is one of them Cathy. The butterflies hanging down the trails are just fantastic. Love the patchwork paper, the distressing and the journaling and of course your gorgeous DD. Just stunning.

    and yes the painted back ground is from some mesh that i layed on the cardstock and then dabbed some paint over the top with a paint brush. it worked out better then i expected.. LOL
