Bird Is the Word - ADORE

Hi Girls,

Sorry I haven't been around much lately,  I've been so busy I haven't had time get online and leave some love, but I should be catching up with all of you within the next few days.  Then I'm off on Wed & Thursday to the Sunshine Coast to take part in a Prima class with Ingvild Bolme... so excited!!

This fortnight's new word at Bird is the Word is ADORE.  You need to add this word somewhere on your LO, card or OTP creation and can alter the word to adorable/adored etc.  There is also a fabulous sketch designed by Mary Thomas to use if you need some inspiration.  The lucky winner will receive one of Wendy's kits from Tidbitz in Time.  Pop on over and check out the gorgeous work from our Design Team for more inspiration.


Adore This Time of the Year

I absolutely adore this time of the year as the Jacarandas are in full bloom with the most gorgeous mauve blossoms.  There are beautiful purple blooms everywhere in the surrounding streets where I live and when I go out, just looking at these beautiful trees against a gorgeous blue sky makes my day.




I kept this LO fairly simple as I wanted the photo to be the focus.  I used a Pink Paislee mistable for my background with some mauve pearlescent ink to highlight the resist pattern and some chipboard accents from Scrapmatts and Dusty Attic which I inked.  Finished off with a strip of 7 Gypsies tape, a touch of lace and a little cluster of Prima flowers.

    Cathy this is just amazingly beautiful. I want to walk through the gates and down the street. You have captured the beauty perfectly. The misting is gorgeous and I love how you continued the tree from the photo.

    Cathy I love this LO. I love Jacaranda trees too, it reminds me of a time in my childhood when we had a Jacaranda in the backyard. They are so beautiful! Thanks for sharing. I have had a peek at your last few creations too and stunning as usual. I love your work. You have inspired me to do some fussy cutting again.     Absolutely beautiful Cathy! Everything about this layout is just PERFECT. We also have Jacarandas here & used to have LOADS of them in Zimbabwe (well they are still there but I am not!) and I only found out recently that they were indigenous to Australia - as they are very prevalent in Africa too. I agree they are one of my favourite trees :0) Have a lovely week xx

    I just 'adore' ;-) this layout Cathy. That is the most beautiful photo. I love the way you have distressed the top of the photo. I must try that!! The purple ink on your mistable paper and your chippie pieces perfectly compliment your photo. Love it. :-) Hope things settle down for you and you can find some time for scrapping!!
