OUAS - March Challenge

Hi girls,

This month's challenge at Once Upon a Sketch is:

Theme: "Its The Weekend!"

What does your weekend look like?

Maybe you work, or run around like crazy taking your kids to activities etc. Lunch with friends? Movies? Dinner? Or maybe you do all the exciting stuff like ...clean the house, tend to the garden , kinds birthday parties. You might like to tell us of an exciting weekend coming up, or a weekend past. Maybe a weekend getaway? Whatever it is that you want to tell us that has to do with the theme "Its The Weekend"
we would love to hear it.

Your layout must incorporate this theme and the sketch below.

Please make sure that we see some sort of journalling on your layouts and please tell us where your journalling is . You are allowed to journal in any language but please tell us where on your page we will find your journalling. Remember journalling has to be a bit more than a title, or a generic comment.
Hidden journalling is perfectly fine.

The deadline for this challenge is midnight March 25th Australian Eastern Standard Time

Click on the link HERE to see all the gorgeous creations from our DT and Guest Designers and while you're there check out all the fabulous prizes from our generous sponsors this month.

Good Times
I chose to create a LO on a Weekend Retreat with my scrappy friends Monica and Karlene and decided to flip the sketch.  My journaling is on a hidden tag under the Prima flower.  The DT recently  received a parcel of goodies from Imaginarium Designs with some gorgeous chipboard which were picked to suit our style.  My parcel contained a gorgeous flourish frame and a Title which I cut in half.  To alter the chippies, I painted them with some Viva croco crackling... LOVE this stuff!! then smudged some Viva precious metal in a soft aqua over the top to make the crackles stand out.

Materials used:  Imaginarium Designs flourish frame and title chipboard, Scrapbook Fantasies cream ribbon, Prima damask stencil, sparkling lace border and flower, Kaisercraft, Prima and Fancy pp's, Kaisercraft bingo cards,  Glimmer Mist key key lime and bahama blue, Bo Bunny diecut sticker, resin flower, Craft Queen washi tape and manilla tag, Martha Stewart punch, Viva Croco Crackling, Viva Precious Metal, Gesso.

Melbourne Scrapbook and Papercraft Expo.

If you are coming along to the Melbourne Scrapbook and Papercraft Expo... pop in and say hello at the Craft Queen stall.  You can still book classes on the day at the help desk... check class information to see what you will need for your basic tool kit and any extra items need for your class.

Thanks so much for stopping by ♥
