Hi Ladies,
I was browsing various challenge sites, looking for some inspiration, when I came upon this month's theme at Berry71Bleu which was textiles. I love creating texture on my LO's and thought using textiles would be perfect. Click on the link HERE for challenge details.

As textiles is the theme for this challenge, I decided to use ribbons and laces, trims and some yellow gingham fabric, which I layered and cut to various lengths to create a shabby banner effect. On top of this I created a cluster of gorgeous flowers from Manor House Creations. The yellow blossoms are made from a satin fabric and some of the leaves are a beautiful velvet patterned organza. I found some pale yellow raffia millinery ribbon in my stash which when I cut apart and grunged up made a fab straw-like element. I have also tucked in a twine ribbon bow and topped it with a fabric covered brad.
One of my favourite fabrics to work with is hessian/jute, as it has an organic feel and I love the texture it brings to a LO.. I have tucked a few distressed pieces in with my photo, as the LO has a bit of a Summery country feel going on.. Lastly, I have used some gorgeous scalloped guipure lace which I have tucked in under my torn and distressed edges.
