Hi Ladies,
My Craft Queen parcel had some of the new Kaisercraft Take Note papers to play with and I was inspired to create a LO and a card.
Smile Today is a a New and Beautiful Day
The spotty background paper was altered with various mixed media techniques. I randomly punched around the borders for a grungy effect, then used a tea bag to add some colour splats. The masking was created with the Prima 564216 mask and some texture paste. Once dry, I then stamped randomly with the new Kaisercraft Lattice stamp and a Kaisercraft Script stamp using Vintage Photo and Walnut Distress inks.
The background strips and doily circles which I used to frame the photo were cut from pp's in the 6" paper pad. I added a few torn strips of brown houndstooth washi tape, some buttons and a double ribbon bow from satin seam binding, which are all available from Craft Queen.

I love using Kaisercraft collectables on my cards, and this lovely floral diecut from the Miss Empire pack, went perfectly with the pp's from the Take Note 6" pad. I topped it with a Collections butterfly (these are so versatile!!) The orange washi tape tied in beautifully with the diecut. I finished of with touches of gesso, which is a great way create a lovely soft grungey effect.
