Kaisercraft Design Team Finalist Entry 2015-2016

Hi Everyone,
I am so excited to share my creations as a Finalist for Kaisercraft's 2015-2016 Design Team!!   I have had the most fabulous time being part of the Kaisercraft Design Team , it's been a dream gig.  So I am hoping, I will have the chance to stay on for a 2nd year, as I absolutely ADORE creating with all their gorgeous products!!   So here it goes... keep your fingers crossed for me!!

Kaisercraft  have sent us 2 gorgeous new, upcoming collections to create our projects with, and I ADORE both of them and think they will be flying out the door when they are released later this year!!

First up is the "Time Machine" Collection which has a vintage grunge theme with a masculine feel to it, but as you will see the papers can also work beautifullly on a feminine LO as well.

 “Adventure Awaits” Layout
I was immediately drawn to the circular patterns on one of the papers and if you are a regular vistor to my blog, you will know that I love to fussy cut.  It's a great way to create depth to your LO's, if you layer the fussy cut elements with foam tape

I also nearly always add some form of mixed media to my LO's and have used the Diamond Template with gel medium, so that you are still able to see the patterned paper underneath the masking.  I then applied the yummy new Turquoise Kaisermist with a brush and flicked a little of the Antique Gold Kaisermist to add a bit of contrast.  It doesn't tranlate well in my photos, but they have a beautiful sparkly shimmer to them.
Kaisercraft have a fabulous range of Texture Stamps which I am totally addicted to.  I think I have nearly all of them and they are one of my staples when creating a LO.  Here I have used the Grid and Stains Texture Stamps to add a bit more depth to my background and the Film Edges with black Stazon ink to frame my photo.

"Time is Precious" Layout
I thought I would show you how this range can be used for either masculine or feminine LO's by creating my 2nd LO with a few girly embellishments.  I have mentioned before that the Lattice Decorative Die is one of my all time favourite dies and I just couldn't resist using it with this vintage Collection.

I have mentioned before that the Lattice Decorative Die is one of my all time favourite dies and I just couldn't resist using it with this collection, as it goes beautiful with these vintage papers. I have used the Quarters Template and Sketchy Texture Stamp with the Turquoise Kaisermist to create my background, then overlayed it with the lattice diecuts.  I also used the Large Flourish Decorative Die with my cluster and outlined the diecuts with a black fineliner to create depth.

Kaisercraft now also have a range of Embossing Folders and I have used the Lattice Folder and sandpaper to create the background for this card, then layered some fussy cut elements with diecuts using the Cog, Clock and Vines Decorative Dies, and finishing off with a smattering of Antique Gold Kaisermist.

“Especially For You” Tag
For my last project with this Collection, I created this pretty altered gift tag . I wanted to make the Wooden Flourish Cog pop on this tag, and found the Antique Gold Kaisermist a little dark, so I mixed it with a  little of the Yellow Kaisermist to give it a more golden tone, then stamped over it with the Script Texture Stamp to grunge it up.  Why not use a little big of bling to make your projects sparkle and shine.  Here I used the Ebony Sparklets to highlight my tag.

The second range I received is the stunning "Silver Bells" Collection which is a gorgeous vintage Christmas range in pretty pastels.  I am in LOVE!!!  These papers are so soft and dreamy and just a little different from the traditional Christmas colours.

“Merry and Bright” Layout
I adore this old Christmas photo of Brittany in her Santa hat.  The Christmas joy on her face just shines through and it never fails to make me smile.    I am going through a phase of ripping and tearing my papers at the moment, as I love the texture it creates, and it's a great way to play and layer your pattern papers.  To add some softeness, I have applied gesso with a palette knife to the torn edges.
The Doily and Lacy Border Decorative Dies are a perfect match for this beautiful Collection of papers, and how gorgeous is the Berry Vine Decorative Die... so pretty and delicate!!  I was over the moon when I found out Kaisercraft were making a die out of my absolute favourite Wooden Flourish design.  Now I can cut it in any patterned paper I want, the options are endless!!

Kaiser Product: Silver Bells – Paper – P1927 Baubles, P1929 Wonderland, P1930 Carol, P1931 Frosty, P1932 Joy, P1933 Good Wishes, P1934 Merry Christmas, KM110 Kaisermist – Pink, KM106 Kaisermist – Denim, DD522 Decorative Die – Berry Vine, DD504 Decorative Die – Doilies, DD101 Decorative Dies – Lacy Borders, CS855 Texture Stamp – Scallop Lace, F658 Mini Paper Blooms – Dusty Pink, F630 Paper Blooms – Iceberg, RS464 Rhinestone Flourish – Antique Rose, EM930 Pearl Brads – Pearl, IP727 Ink Pad – Lagoon, T303 Foam Tape

 “BeYOUtiful” Layout
Again, I thought I would show you how versatile Kaisercraft ranges are!  For my second LO, I have created a non-Christmas page, and you would never guess these papers came from a Christmas range.   I have cut the pink paper into rectangles and used the gesso and palette knife technique to create a soft and dreamy feel and masked over them with the flourish design from the new Damask Quarters Template.
The pink stamping was created by mixing the Petal Pink and Berry Ink onto a craft sheet and mixing with a spritz of water, then applying the watered down ink to the Hessian Texture Stamp, to create a soft distressed image.  I love to using washi tape to frame my LO's and have used the Pink Damask Printed Tape here, which I softened by lightly applying gesso over the top with my fingertip.   This range has a beautiful paper with an overall rose pattern, that is just the thing for any of you who love to fussy cut!!

Kaiser Product: Silver Bells – Paper – P1927 Baubles, P1928 Believe, P1930 Carol, P1931 Frosty, P1932 Joy, T621 Template - Quarters Damask, KM106 Kaisermist – Denim, DD500 Decorative Die – Script Words, DD503 Decorative Die – Butterflies, FL342 Wooden Flourishes – Funky Butterflies, FL474 Wooden Flourishes – Bees, F658 Mini Paper Blooms – Dusty Pink, F647 Mini Paper Blooms – Iceberg, CS153 Texture Stamp – Hessian, IP731 Ink Pad – Berry, IP725 Ink Pad – Petal Pink, SB786 Pearls – Rose, PT206 Printed Tape – Pink Damask, T303 Foam Tape

"Tis The Season" Card
I followed through with the ripping and tearing technique on my LO with this card, and embossed the centre panel with the new Geo Embossing Folder.  The Dusty Pink and Iceberg Paper Blooms are the perfect match for this Collection of papers, which is something Kaisercraft do really well.  You can always find one of the coloured blooms to match in with each paper range.
