Scrap The Girls - November Challenge

Hi Ladies,

Today I have a LO to share created for this month's Scrap The Girls Challenge, which was to use the quote - "Friendship isn't a big thing - it's a million little things".

Brittany has been friends with Laura since they were 3 years old at Kindy.  They were friends all through Primary School and went to different High Schools, but still remained close friends and now at 18 they attend the same University, so they get to share the beginning of adulthood together.

I love how this page came out, and had fun with the background.  I found the perfect flowers to go with the Bo Bunny pp from my Manor House Creations stash and teamed them with one of my favourite Kaisercraft wooden embellishments, the lovely berry branch.

Product used:  Manor House Creations flowers - vinettes, wild orchid, Oh la laa, Bo Bunny pp and diecut sticker, corrugated cardstock, vintage music paper, Kaisercraft leaf stencil and wooden embellishment, Prima butterfly stamp and textured alpha stickers, WRMK leafy flower stamp, Luminart pigment powder - olive vine, gesso, Tim Holtz Distress Ink - tea dye, cream cardstock, Craft Queen script washi tape.

Thanks somuch for stopping by, your comments make my day.

Scrap The Girls August Challenge - Guest Designer

Hi Ladies,
As the winner of May's Challenge at Scrap The Girls, I was invited as a Guest Designer for this month's recipe challenge.  Here are the details.
All entries must use:

flowers
masking
doodling and
chipboard or wood veneers

Find Your Wings and Fly

Had fun with this challenge, but I have to admit, doodling isn't something you see very often on my LO's, as I'm not very confident in this area.  I was inspired by Leanne Pearce's recent LO's where I noticed her fabulous arrow doodles.  Incorporating flowers was easy as you will always find them on my feminine LO's, and masking is one of my favourite techniques atm.  Lastly, the chipboard.  I have used some sweet little chipboard butterflies and chipboard alphas in my title.

Hope you join in this month.  Click on the link HERE for some gorgeous examples from the new and returning Design Team and check out the fabulous prizes up for grabs while you're there.

Thanks so much for stopping by.

Scrap The Girls - May Challenge

Hi Ladies,

When I saw this month's challenge at Scrap The Girls, I knew it would be perfect for pics I have from Brittany's Year 12 Formal.

The criteria for this challenge was to use the quote:
"A smile is the best makeup a girl can wear"
I silhouetted the photo of Brittany in her gown and hand wrote the quote around her face.  I am really enjoying playing around with the Viva Decor inka gold pastes which have a beautiful metallic shimmer.  I used the Lava Red Inka Gold which I mixed with some extra fine glitter before applying over a Prima mask.  A touch of the Silver Inka Gold was used to colour the butterfly and doily filigree charms as well as the metal button and then a little of the Rose Pink to highlight the tips of the butterfly charm. Nicole from Craft Queen has some colours available at her store.  Click HERE for the link.

The gorgeous handmade flower was made by Monica Brady and can be purchased from her store The Trinket Track.  The butterfly charm, and metal button also come from her fab store.  Check out the link HERE.

Materials Used:  Prima and Kaisercraft pp's, paper doily, Craft Queen pink washi tape, rhinestone brad, Lava Red, Silver, Rose Pink Viva Decor Inka Gold, Prima mask, The Trinket Track butterfly charm, handmade satin flower, metal button, Cheery Lynn doily die, recycled rhinestone necklace, Kaisercraft bling, D-Lish filigree doily charms, Lindy's Stamp Gang mist, Stampendous extra fine glitter.

Thanks so much for stopping by.
