Kaisercraft DT Creations - Sailing Into Summer

Hi Everyone,
Today I am sharing my projects created with the 2 gorgeous New Release collections Provincial and Sail Away.
I adored working with both of these collections… Provincial which is the perfect range for me with its soft and dreamy shabby style mixed with beautiful rustic themed papers… the best of both worlds!!  Then you have the beautiful nautical styled Sail Away collection, just in time for Summer!!

 “You Are Beautiful” Layout
For those of you who are familiar with my work, you would know that I am in my element when it comes to creating with pretty feminine papers, so I was thrilled to see this range in my DT parcel.  It has a lovely old world rustic feel in pretty blues and greens with gorgeous florals, foliage and vintage elements.
I have pulled out my scissors to create this layout as the floral accents are perfect for fussy cutting.  I also used the large flower cluster on the sticker sheet and leafy collectables to frame my photo.
How yummy is that cobblestone paper, again my scissors were drawn to fussy cut sections of this pp to create a couple of  border strips.

The Sail Away Collection, with its nautical theme has a masculine feel to it, which is great for those of you who struggle to find pp’s to scrap photos of the men/boys in your life, but this range also works just as well for feminine layouts.  Here, I have created one of each, to show you how versatile this collection is.

 “Adventure” Layout
Found this old photo of Luke aged 3 at Caloundra Beach… omg isn’t he so cute with his little spade!!  How perfect do the colours match this paper range!
I love using embossing folders to create texture on my layouts and have used the new Anchors Embossing Folder to frame the left-hand side of my photo.
I have always used sandpaper to grunge up and distress my layouts an  I think I have mentioned before, that I adore the new sanding blocks and this tool has now become a firm favourite.  I love sanding back pp’s to reveal the core white colour to add contrast and dimension and have sanded back the embossed anchors to make them pop.
I also like sanding the edges of my collectables and diecuts, to add a little dimension to my elements.
Kaisercraft Product: Sail Away - Paper – P1980 Ship, P1984 Lighthouse, P1985 Rope, P1986 Starfish, P1987 Cruise | CT844 Collectables | SS300 12x12 Sticker Sheet | CS244 Stamp Set | EF231 Embossing Folder – Anchors | DD104 Decorative Die – Anchor |  KM106  Kaisermist - Denim | CS153 Texture Stamp - Hessian |  T331 Sanding Block | T303 Foam Tape | Other Product:  archival ink

“Explore” Layout
Another old photo from our beach holidays, this time it's Brittany playing in the sand at Mudjimba Beach... another perfect match for these papers… don’t you think!!  I am on a roll!
I have used the newly released Nautical Quarters Template on my background by masking the compass with modelling paste and outlining with a blue fineliner pen.  To make the making pop I spritzed with water, then applied some red Kaisermist with a brush.  Once dry, I randomly stamped  around the masking with the Tiny Dot Texture Stamp.
Another new release this month are a range of gorgeous dies to accent both ranges.  On this page I have used the Anchors Decorative Die which comes with 2 cute anchors dangling on chains.  I cut it in navy pp to become part of my cluster underneath my photos.

 “Anchors Away” Card
This card was created using matching Paper Pad and the new C6 Anchors Decorative Die.  I cut the die in smooth white cardstock for the background then cut in navy paper from the Paper Pad, to add the contrast anchors. I also used the new Anchors Decorative Die which I cut out in cork to add a bit of texture.
