The Scrapbook Store - Graphic 45 - Mon Amour

Hi Everyone,

This month I received the gorgeous new Graphic 45 "Mon Amour" Collection in my parcel of goodies from The Scrapbook Store.  The collection has a love theme in a red, pink, black and cream colour palette and is perfect for creating with wedding photos in mind.

  I decided to use this collection to scrap this photo of my nephew's wedding day to his beautiful bride last year. 

I really enjoy fussy cutting and layering and I have to say Graphic 45 papers are just the thing if you like this technique.  For my LO I fussy cut some of the flowers from the G45 Mon Amour and Dearest Darling and layered them with Green Tara Cherry Blossoms and Petaloo Mini Daisies to frame my photo.

To flow on from the larger flower cluster on the right, I masked flowers with Faber Castell Whipped Spackle using the Tim Holtz Wildflower stencil on the bottom right of the My Beloved pp, then lightly brushed around the masked area with Prima Peony Color Bloom Spray.

To make the photo shine I placed it centrally on my LO and framed it with the gorgeous Blue Fern Studios - Chipboard - Blue Fern Frame  which I have altered by sponging with Faber Castell Gesso then stamping randomly with Kaisercraft Script Stamp in Rose Madder Archival Ink.

The Scrapbook Store - October Sketch Challenge

Today I am sharing my layout created for this month's Sketch Challenge designed by Marelize Frisby at The Scrapbook Store.

Cherish the Little Things

For my take on the sketch I decided to rotate it one turn to the left and used the beautiful Blue Fern Studios "Deja Vu" Collection.

The background pp was masked with the Tim Holtz "Gothic" stencil and Faber Castell Whipped Spackle.  Once dry I misted the masked area with water, then applied Yellow Kaisermist with a brush.  Once dry I randomly stamped the Kaisercraft Script Texture Stamp with Watering Can Archival Ink, then added some Prima Pastel Iris Mist splatters.

I altered the Blue Fern Studios chipboard frame by applying gesso with a sponge to create a little texture and once dry stamped with the Kaisercraft Flutter stamp using the Prima Color Bloom Spray applied with a brush for a soft effect.

Kaisercraft - October Sketch Challenge

Hi there everyone… It’s time for this month’s Challenge, again.

The Scrapbook Store - Blue Fern Frolic Collection

Hi Everyone,

Today I am sharing my fourth DT layout created with the beautiful Blue Fern Studios "Frolic" Collection for The Scrapbook Store,  I have been in heaven working with this gorgeous range of shabby chic papers!!  Check out the links to the product list below

Lovely Moments Layout

This collection has a variety of colour choices, for this LO I paired the pretty blues and sunny yellow pp's for a lovely fresh Spring feel.


The background "Petits Moments" pp was altered by masking the Crafters Workshop Art Is stencil with Prima Modeling Paste.   The edges of the pp's were randomly punched then stamped with the gorgeous IndigoBlu Rugged Edges stamp set.  To add a bit more depth, I flicked  Lindy's Stamp Gang mists randomly over the masked area.

I love to fussy cut elements from the pp's to create my own accents and have cut out some of the pretty floral sections, which I have layered with some of the new Mini Flowers and Petaloo Forget Me Nots which I softened with a touch of gesso.

The Scrapbook Store - Blue Fern Frolic Collection

Hi Everyone,

Today I am sharing my 3rd The Scrapbook Store Design Team layout created with the beautiful "Blue Fern" Frolic Collection.

"Celebrate Everyday"

This layout was inspired by Sketch #146 from Sketchabilities Challenge Site. I started by cutting two diecuts from the Kaisercraft - Decorative Dies - Lattice Background C6 in white cardstock, which I cut into smaller pieces, then adhered with glue to my background Blue Fern "Frolic" Adorn Patterned Paper .    To soften the diecuts I stamped over them with Kaisercraft - Textured Clear Stamps – Diamonds  in Prima Marketing- Fluid Chalk Edger Pad -Old Rose ink.

  I cut various pp's from the collection to fit under and around my photos and used the Kaisercraft - Sanding Block  to sand the edges to reveal the white core and create softness. 

The pretty Blue Fern Studios - Chipboard Shapes - Flutter Medley  was altered with Golden Artist Colours - Crackle Paste for a distressed look.

 Before adding the chipboard and flower embellishments, I applied IZink Pigment Ink - Jasmine  which I watered down a little to allow it to create drips.

The pp pieces, photos and chipboard were adhered with foam tape to create dimension and highlighted with Prima Marketing - Flowers - Esperanza Generosa  and Petaloo - Mini Daisy Petites - Antique Peach.  How cute are the Queen and Co - Droplets - Red !!  I randomly added a few with some of the negatives from the chipboard piece around the drips.

Kaisercraft DT - September Collections

Hi Everyone,

Well, I hate to say it but Christmas is just around the corner... I know, crazy isn't it, how quickly the year is flying by!!!  Luckily Kaisercraft have released 2 beautiful new Christmas Collections called "Home For Christmas " and "Silver Bells" so you can get a head start on your Christmas Cards and Christmas Home Decor Projects.  The 3rd release for this month is called "Generations" which has a gorgeous vintage ancestry theme and is perfect for all your family photos.  Why not create a family album for yourself or as a gift for someone special.
