Hi Everyone,
I was so happy to find the new
Blue Fern "Frolic" Collection in my parcel of goodies from
The Scrapbook Store this month. I absolutely adore their product and was very inspired by the new range... so pretty and girly!! I also have some of their gorgeous chipboard to play with too!!
Stencils are one of my staples when creating my LO's as I love adding mixed media to my pages. The Scrapbook Store has a fabulous range of
stencils to choose from!! To keep in with the pretty shabby chic theme I chose one of the gorgeous Prima Floral Stencils called
Poppies, which I masked with
Faber-Castell - Whipped Spackle, but you could also use modelling paste or gesso for a similar effect.
If you like the shabby chic look, distressing and tearing is a great way to alter your pp's. Here I have used my
Kaisercraft - Craft Knife to cut a slit in the top and bottom of my pp, then distressed the edges using my fingernails. To add a little contrast to my background, I opened up the area to reveal the pp underneath. Just cut up a sections to fit, rather than use a whole sheet of pp.
For my title I have used a die cut from my Cricut Expressions Machine using the reverse side of the
Blue Fern Frolic "Secretary" pp.
