Kaisercraft DT - Blue Bay Collection

Hi Everyone,

What a fabulous way to start the new year by sharing Kaisercraft's gorgeous new Blue Bay Collection!!  There are so many beautiful papers in this shabby chic range, that it was difficult to choose which ones to use.  I think you will have to get in quick at your local scrap store with this stunning collection, as it will be flying out the door!!

“Beautiful Moments” Layout
For my 1st layout I combined the weatherboard side of the "Sea Breeze" pp with the reverse side of the "Sapphire" pp using the lacy edge of the weatherboard paper to create a border, which I layered with the torn corrugated cardstock and a floral sticker border from the matching 12x12 sticker sheet.
I arranged some of the matching collectables around my photo with a few mini paper blooms, sea breeze sparklets and a wooden vine flourish.  The white section of the background was altered with the honeycomb texture stamp with the sea breeze ink pad, then randomly mistied over the top.

Kaiser Product: Blue Bay Collection - Paper – P1732 Sea Breeze, P1735 Sapphire, SS270 12x12 Sticker Sheet, CT817 Collectables, CB153 12x12 Corrugated Cardboard Sheets, FL406 Wooden Flourishes – Vines, WL702 Wooden Words – Cherish, F644 Mini Paper Blooms – Coconut, CS161 Clear Texture Stamp – Honeycomb,  RS418 Sparklets – Sea Breeze, Ink – IP727 Lagoon, T303 Foam Tape
Other Products:   mists, flowers

“Smile” Layout
On my second layout, I framed the floral side of the "Sea Breeze" pp with the creamy white reverse side of the "Placid" pp  and the black reservse side of the "Misty" pp.  I altered the background by coating the centre section randomly with gesso, then masked over this using the Lattice template with texture paste, and applying aqua mist over the top to make the masked lattice more pronounced.  The last step to create my background was randomly stamping with one of the stamps from the matching Blue Bay clear stamp set and the vintage fence texture stamp in black.

To frame my photo I layered fussy cut the frames and the flowers  from the "Azure" gloss speciality pp and the "Sapphire" pp, combined with sections from both sides of the  "Misty" pp and a sticker border from the 12x12 sticker sheet.  I also used one of the new Decorative Dies to cut out the lacy floral border tucked under my photo, then finished off with one of the new "Delicate Words" clear stickers as my title... absolutely love these!!

Manor House Creations - Romantic Shabby Chic Card Set

Hi Ladies,

I have a set of 3 cards which were created a little while ago, but was unable to share until now as they were published with Australian Cardmaking Stamping and Papercraft Magazine Volume 20 No. 12.

I thought I would show you how you can make a few quick and easy cards with a 6″ paper pad and product from the Manor House Creations.
Here are 3 cards I created, using MHC Flowers, Ornate Frames and Flexible Words.

 Love You Forever
MHC Product Used:  Layout Pack-Cheeky, Minuettes white, Blossom-Believe, Gothic Ornate Frame-black, Flexible Word (Love black).
Other Product Used:  MME Bramble Rose 6" pad, MME mini word stickers, Kaisercraft pearls, MM ticket

On this card I altered the blossoms to give them more dimension by pinching the centre back of the flower between your fingers.  Place a little bit of tape at the back of the flower to hold the pinched section, then top with a pearl, bead or brad.

I Love You
The large white flower was altered by lightly inking the edges of the petals with a pink ink and backed with some distressed mesh ribbon for a shabby chic feel.

MHC Product Used:  Letters from Paris, Minuettes pink, Gothic Ornate Frame-white,
Flexible Word (Love white).
Other Product Used:  MME Bramble Rose 6" pad, Cottage Cutz daisy vine die, Martha Stewart pansy border punch, Craft Queen mesh ribbon and washi tape, Versamagic pixie dust ink,
Lindy's Stamp Gang saltwater taffy mist

Love Is Not a Because
I have backed the frames with contrasting pp to draw the eye.

MHC Product Used:  Letters from Paris, Tea Roses-gold, Lace Butterflies and Hearts pack, Gothic Ornate Frame-white, Flexible Word (Love white).
Other Product Used:  MME Bramble Rose 6" pad, Kaisercraft Lady Rose collectables,

Manor House Creations - Birthday Wishes

Hi Ladies,

Today I have a set of 3 birthday cards to share created for Manor House Creations using flowers and frames from the Spring 2013 Collection.

Enjoy Today
On my 1st card I layered pp's, an altered paper doily and a Pink Paisley doily diecut, which I embellished with a cluster of flowers.  I used the Ooh La La vintage flower and changed the pearl to match my colour scheme.  I also altered the cream minuette flower with touches of Glimmer Glam and Glaze, again to tie in with my colours.

Distressing edges, paint splats and machine stitching  are a few techniques to achieve a shabby chic feel to your cards.
MHC product:  Ooh la la, Minuettes - cream pink grey

Birthday Greetings
On this 2nd card I have used the ornate frame-scallop white backed with pp and embellished with cluster of flowers.   Just use a pencil to trace the inside of the frame as a template, cut 1/2cm around the pencil line, then adhere paper to back of frame with glue.

I altered the background with a stencil and texture paste, then flicked some Glimmer Glaze in 2 shades of green.  To create some softness and a shabby feel I smudges some of the texture paste over the stencilled design.
MHC product:  Floral Mix - Arielle, Mini Blush Roses - soft gold, Ornate Frames - scallop white

Happy Birthday

On my last card I have used the ornate frame-gothic white which I backed with paper, then added a greeting sticker.

I embellished the frame with the camel coloured flower from mixed floral tiffany pack, which I altered by pulling out the stamens and replacing with a wooden button topped with a pearl embellishment, and teamed with a soft gold tea rose.
MHC product:  Floral Mix - tiffany, Tea Roses - soft gold, Ornate Frames - gothic white

Other product used:  Kaisercraft pp and 6" paper pad and Captured Moments 6x4, 3x2, ,Pink Paislee diecuts, Collections butterfly, Crafter's Workshop script and chicken wire stencils, texture paste, Glimmermist-crushed shells, Glimmer Glaze- emerald cove, wicked, waterfall, Glimmer Glam-camel, Cottage Cutz leafy die, Spellbinders leaf die, paper doily,  flower lace, SRM clear stickers, bronze charm flowers, Pearl embellishments, wooden button, Tim Holtz distress ink-tea dye
