Challenge Heaven

July Colour Challenge

This month's colour challenge was green and brown.  You also had to add a butterfly on you LO.  Just recently took some pics of Brittany and thought this would go perfectly for this challenge.  Used Prima pp's & flowers.  The background is an old music sheet.  My son Luke just recently had work experience in a music shop and the owner gave me some gorgeous old music sheets to use in my scrapbooking.

July Ebony & Ivory Challenge

This month's E&I was orange with black OR white and use small alphas on your LO.  I chose orange and black as my colour combo and used a family shot taken on Halloween last year which I love even though it does look a bit scary.  I used Kaisercraft for the background and Pink Paislee, Cosmo Cricket pps.  The tree was handcut and the border on the bottom is a Pink Paislee clear sticker.  The title is a Fancy pants glitter overlay.  I used some orange Basic Grey which I embossed with the new Tim Holtz folders and inked in black and the skull and wings is Tim Holtz grungeboard.  A bit of distressing to finish off the LO.

Talk soon :)

  4. Wow Cathy, wouldn't that be fun, doing some work experience in a Music shop, good on him, hope he enjoyed it, I love both layouts, I agree with Sarah Lou the texture really brings out the dimension and makes the photo pop. The 2nd is divine and how great to get that awesome music paper, has to be a fringe benefit for mum in there somewhere. Just love your gorgeous works. Love to you, Melxx
