Hi Girls,
So excited... I'm off to The Wicked Princess Scrap Retreat tomorrow and won't be back until Sunday. So busy!!! I'm trying to get my gear ready and I can't decide what to pack!! I am hoping to relax and chill out a bit while I'm away as I have had so much going on in the last couple of weeks.. can't wait to meet up with all the girls for some scrapping and lots of laughs.
I thought I would share this Engagement card I made for my nephew and his fiance. I can't get away with purchasing my cards anymore as all the family expect a hand made one. I am totally in love with the Prima Notecards... they are the perfect size for cardmaking. I used one from the Almanac range and embellished it with a MME layered sticker and changed the little flag banner to read congratulations. Then some flowers, pearls, rubons and a vintage crochet doily for a shabby chic look.
Congratulations
List of Materials: MME pp, Prima Almanac notecard, MME layered sticker, Prima Pearl flourish, Basic Grey pearl heart, MME rubons, Prima flower, vintage crochet doily, pearl buttons
See you soon.
Thanks for stopping by.

Gorgeous Cathy and enjoy your retreat!!! Hope you and the family are keeping well :)
ReplyDeleteBeautiful card! Have a wonderful time (I am so jealous) on your scrap retreat.
ReplyDeleteCathy your card is absolutely beautiful, I love its elegant shabbyness. I have a real problem with cards, not my thing at all. Your week end away scrapping sounds wonderful, I would love to join you, I bet you'll have a fantastic time. xx
ReplyDeleteOh Cathy, this is a stunner! Love all the details, very elegant. Enjoy retreat!
ReplyDeleteI really love this card and like you I find it difficult to purchase ready made cards now and it's so much fun making them if people love them like we do.
ReplyDeleteAnd you do the most beautiful cards!! Have fun at your retreat!
ReplyDeleteWow Cathy this is just so beautiful! I'm sure they are going to love this!

Hi Cathy, thanks for your comments about my WW1 layout...are you sure you don't mind my layout.??. I guess with the criteria of 2 colors and chipboard there is the possibility of similar things on layouts..You are wonderful.. and I am just a bit too touchy.. I have come across a time in the scrap world where one layout looked like another and the fall out from that was awful..(it wasn't me I just read the comments on the blogs from the people involved... and so I am just aware of that and never want to be accused of copying anyone..) so I will put my layout up on a new post and support the WW1 challenge.. thanks again.. I really admire you and your scrapping so your support means a lot to me...lizzy
ReplyDeleteThis is lovely, Cathy! I can certainly see why everyone would want a handmade card from you now! Your work is amazing! Hope you had a wonderful retreat!
