The Scrapbook Store - Maja Designs - Enjoying Outdoors Collection

Hi Everyone,

I have my 2nd layout to share created for The Scrapbook Store using the beautiful "Enjoying Outdoors" Collection from Maja Designs.

This lovely outdoor inspired collection is all about – autumn, nature, the garden, and whimsical weather and has a pretty mauve, green and cream muted colour palette with hints of soft brown.  There are 24 beautiful double-sided pattern papers in this collection. giving you 48 lovely mix and match designs!!

Enjoy The Little Things

I played around with mist, texture paste and gesso to create the soft and dreamy background for my layout.

I masked the background with Faber Castell Gel Medium coloured by adding Pop Rock Purple from the Lindy's Stamp Gang Under the Boardwalk Magicals set.  I then stamped with woodgrain stamp from the Bo Bunny Rough it Up Stamp Set in Tree Branch Arichival Ink

To create a soft and dreamy look and tone down the purple to a soft mauve, I sponged over the top with Faber Castell Gesso.  Once dry, I flicked Apple, Wisteria and White Kaisermists and Pop Rock Purple Magicals to create depth.

The Scrapbook Store - Maja Designs Enjoying Outdoors Layout

Hi Everyone,

Thought I would get a post in before all the Christmas and New Year festitives take over, so today I am sharing a layout I created for The Scrapbook Store with the beautiful Maja Designs "Enjoying Outdoor's" Collection.

This collection has a lovely Spring feel to it in mauve and green tones with pretty florals and a variety of patterns... so many beautiful designs to choose from and all double-sided!

Picture Perfect
I chose the pretty and delicate "Picking Flowers" paper for this layout and framed it with the purple side of the "Time for Reflection" paper.

How gorgeous is the 2Crafty Hibiscus Frame!!  I trimmed it down, cut off the trailing vine section from the bottom and coated with Faber-Castell gesso, then painted the flowers with Lindy's French Lilac Starburst Mist and highlighted the stamen tips with Tim Holtz shabby shutters distress glitter, to create a frame for my silhouetted photo.

The background was stenciled with the woodgrain section from the Kaisercraft Floral Quarters Template and Faber-Castell whipped spackle, using the chipboard frame as a guide for masking placement.  Once dry I misted with Lindy's Sea Mint Green Starburst Mist.

The frame was prettified with Kaisercraft and Green Tara flowers with fussy cut leaves stamped with Bo Bunny Falling Leaves stamp set in Watering Can Archival Ink and some pretty mauve berry picks.
To finish off I stamped around the flowers with the IndigoBlu Peony Posy stamp and Fern Green Archival Ink.

Journalling Theme: "Lucky"

Click on the link HERE to be inspired by the gorgeous creations from our talented Design Team and Guest Designer and while you're there check out the fabulous prizes from our wonderful sponsors.

Forever Love

My paper selection on this LO was inspired by the colours in my husband's shirt. I have used some mixed media techniques on the lovely Kaisercraft lacy diecut which I have tried to capture in the closeups. The texture was created using Shimmerz Texturez paste and a flourish stamp.  I kept this LO pretty close to the sketch, but substituted a piece of Kaisercraft paper for one of the photos, and topped it with an Imaginarium Designs chipboard word which was cut from a title piece.  I covered the chipboard in Shimmerz Texturez paste then sprayed with Glimmermist.  To get the right shade of blue I mixed the Sapphire glimmermist which some Tattered Angels white chalkboard mist.  The beautiful blue pp's are from Maja Designs... love how they incorporate a matching strip on the bottom of their papers.. how cute are those hearts.  I have made 2 tags from the paper for my hidden journalling and topped them with one of my fav pearl embellishments from Craft Queen

Materials Used:  Maja Designs, Kaisercraft, K and Co and LYB pp's Imaginarium Designs chipboard, Kaisercraft and Pink Paislee stamps, Prima flowers, Craft Queen pearl embellishments, vintage lace, Glimmermist sapphire and scarlet, Tattered Angels white chalkboard mist, Shimmerz Textures tidy widy, Adornit tiny alpha stickers, Tim Holtz black distress ink.

Zeus and Zoe - All About Love Challenge

Hi Ladies,

This month's Challenge at Zeus and Zoe was set by the lovely Gayle Price.  The theme is all about LOVE.   All you need to do is create a project based on something or someone you love, and make sure the "word" LOVE is obvious on your page. Click HERE for challenge details.  The rules on how to play are included at the end of this post.

Live Laugh Love

I have created a LO for this month's challenge using some gorgeous flowers, lace, heart ribbon and vintage button from my Zeus and Zoe Kit available from Marivic's Etsy Shop.  I altered the lovely metal heart which was also part of my kit, with some silver Viva Decor paste and backed it with some pp and a rubon.

I am trying to be a bit more adventurous with mixed media techniques and  had a little play with some layers on my background.  The pp's are from Maja Designs.
