Kaisercraft DT - Cherry Blossom Collection

 Hi Everyone,

"Hello Beautiful" Layout
 For my 1st LO I was drawn to the orange, pink and red pp's and made them pop with a white background.

 The Foliage Decorative Die is one of my favourite Kaisercraft dies.  I have cut it down into smaller pieces to tuck in amongst my layers. 

 I have used the cute new Epoxy Stickers in the candy colours, which matches beautifully with this range,

"Write it on Your Heart" Layout

 For my second LO I went with the pink and red pp's and used black as highlights.

Kaisercraft have just released various new Clear Stickers.  Here I have used the butterflies and altered them with rhinestones.

Another new release are the Photo Overlays.  I cut one of the distressed overlays to use in amongst my layers.

Kaisercraft DT - Sandy Toes Collection

Hi All,
This week I have 3 new Kaisercraft Collections to share.  First up for the week I will be sharing my projects created using the gorgeous "Sandy Toes" Collection.  This range has a beachy theme in blue, aqua, cream and brown tones and is perfect for all those beach holiday photos, and with the Summer holidays here, I can see this range will be an absolute favourite.

"Enjoying the Sunshine" Layout
I have had a seashell collection in my stash for quite some time, and have always meant to use them on a beachy LO, and "Sandy Toes" is just the thing.  

 I am loving the new Kaisercraft Decorative Dies and the large flourish is gorgeous.  I decided it would look great as waves as part of my large cluster.

The Bubble Template is a perfect fit for your beach/water themed LO's.  Here I have used the template with opaque texture flakes... love this stuff!!
Kaisercraft now has 12x12 corrugated cardboard sheets.  I have torn off a section of the sheet and altered the edges with glitter glass as the background for my photo.

"Summer Memories" Layout
When I saw the reverse side of the Seashells pp, it called out to me to be fussy cut.  I quite liked the effect of it swirling around my photo. 

I was drawn to the smaller bubble mask from the Quarters Template, but this time used glass bead gel medium.  I love the way it catches the light.

"Summer Snapshots" Altered Frame
I came across this cute photo frame, which made me think of a beach hut.  I covered the frame with the reverse of the Surf pp which has a weatherboard look and the Surfboard pp.  

Couldn't go past adding a little netting and seashells and the sand was created by using Flowersoft in a sandy colour.

Kaisercraft December Challenge

Kasiercraft will be updating their weekly challenge to a new and improved monthly challenge.  Here are the details.

As 2014 comes to an end we thought that it was a great time to start something new with the Saturday Challenges.

There will still be great prizes up for grabs with an entire collection of their choice for the winner and a scrap pack for the runner up, however instead of there being a new challenge every week, there will be one posted at the beginning of each month that will run for that entire month.

Kaisercraft - Tuesday Tip - Cork Sheets

Hi Everyone,

 For this week's Tuesday Tip I thought I would show you how to make the most Kaisercraft's new 12x12 Cork Sheets.

 First up the Kaisercraft dies are perfect for cutting out a beautifully crisp cork diecut.  Just be sure to remove your diecuts from the dies slowly as the cork may tear if you are not careful.

Kaisercraft Products:  CB152 12x12 Cork Sheets - 2 pk, Decorative Dies - DD303 Clock, DD500 Script Word. DD506 Foilage

Once you have cut out your diecuts, you can alter the cork by stamping and embossing.  The first example is stamped with 2 tones of blue ink and the second example is stamped with white and embossed with white embossing powder for a crisper image.  The third example is stamped onto the cork then hand cut around the stamped image.

Here I have dry embossed the cork, which is a little trickier, as it can warp a little, but it is still very effective for creating texture.  The cork can also be used with all your punches quite easily.  I coated one of the punched borders with gesso for a softer look.

 You can pretty much play around with any medium for different effects.  Here I have misted and painted    the cork.

For a grungy distressed look try tearing your cork.

“Life Is” Layout

  Kaisercraft have released 12x12 Corkboard Sheets which come in a pack of 2.  It's great for adding texture to your projects.  On this LO I decided to diecut the cork with one of the new Kaisercraft dies.  It cut out beautifully, just be sure to remove from the die carefully, as the cork can be quite delicate.

Hi All,

“Extreme Gamer” Layout
Went for a mixed media grunge feel for this LO.  When I came across the Pacman pp I was inspired to create this LO of Luke who was in the zone and concentrating so intensely that he didn't evn notice me taking tis pic.  As you may have noticed I am totally addicted to the Kaisercraft texture stamps and you will usually find one or 2 of them on my backgrounds.  Here I have combined the Tiny Dot and Chevron Texture Stamps with the arrow from the Off the Wall Stamp Set, stamped in reds and blues to tie in with my colour scheme.  I even pulled out one of my favourite older stamp sets "Grunge Font" to create my title.

“Birthday Wishes” Layout
The Off the Wall collection has an overall colour palette in shades of blue with black and white highlights.  For this LO I went for a monochrome feel, by layering various pp's to create the background for my photos.  To brighten up my LO I decided to use the reverse side of the Superstar Specialty Paper, then randomly stamped over the top with the numbers texture stamp.  I used the stars from the collectables pack to create another layer, which I also stamped, but you could create your own stars in any colour by using the star stamp from the matching clear stamp set.

“Altered Mail Holder” Beyond the Page Project

 I received the new Kaisercraft BTP Mail Holder in my generous parcel of goodies, as well as some of the new 12x12 Chipboard Sheets, so I decided why not add a backboard to the mail holder to hold those larger envelopes.  Rather than leave it bare, I added a few stickers and cut up the "Mod" pp to make a little calendar, which I attached the the backboard with a clip.

“You Are Loved” Card
 For my cards, instead of sticking to the neutrals in this range I thought why not add a pop of colour to the black and white pp's.  I embossed a piece of flamingo cardstock and added a couple of hot pink paper blooms to contrast with the black and white for this card.
