Colour Stories Inspiration - CSI #123

Hi Everyone,

So are you ready to see the new challenge?  Grab your forensics kits, CSI members, and get ready for some serious sleuthing as we open case file #123 at Color Stories Inspiration this week.  Pop on over to the site for some amazing inspiration from our Designers and Guest Designers as well as our Special Detectives from Flying Unicorn.

The World of Imagination is Boundless
My son Luke is a huge Anime (Japanese Animation) fan and loves to put together a costume and become one of his favourite characters for the day - I think this one is a Yu-Gi-Oh character.   Look at that hair spike!!  You wouldn't believe how much scultping gel and hairspray it took to mold his curly locks.

I loved playing with my mists on this LO to create a mixed media background which was one of the evidence criteria.  I didn't have the right shade of pale blue paper for my background, so I lightly misted some white cs with denim glimmer mist then sprayed over the top with white dylusions mist to soften to a pale blue.  The background was created by stencilling a chevron mask with clear croco crackling, then once dry, misting close to the paper to achieve a deep colour and allowing to the colours to drip down a little.  I sprayed one colour at a time and dried off, otherwise the colours can sometime blend together and become drab and mucky.

Evidence:
mixed Media background
rubons/stamps
border punch

Testimony:  Write your journaling in the background, directly on your paper.

Product Used:  Fancy Pants and MME pp's, Crafters Workshop chevron stencil, Viva Croco Crackling - clear, Glimmer mist - sapphire, bahama blue, jack frost, scarlet and denim, Dylusions mist - white, Stamps - MME, Teresa Collins and Kaisercraft, Martha Stewart border punch, Kaisercraft rubon, Archival ink - red and black, Viva turquoise inka gold, camera charm, ticket, Silhouette Cameo title word.
