Take Time to Smell The Roses

I love to look through Pinterest for inspiration photos and came across this lovely pic which I thought would go beautifully with the Bo Bunny Secret Garden range.  I have fussy cut the pretty flowers from the 'Roses' pp and layered them with a couple of Doodlebug mini paper doiles to frame my photo.

I have to admit that I adore Blue Fern chippies and have used the gorgeous Collage Border which I cut up into 3 separate pieces.  I sponged the pieces with Liquitex surface prep gesso and whilst still wet I applied a mix of Stampendous aged shabby pink and aged rose embossing powders.  I love the vintage/shabby effect you can create with these embossing powders!!

The colours in this range a really vibrant, so to achieve a softer and dreamier effect I have lightly sponged over the background papers with Liquitex gesso, and used the Tim Holtz latticework stencil with Prima Modelling Paste.

The Scrapbook Store DT - Bo Bunny Secret Garden

Hi all,

This month for The Scrapbook Store I am creating with the beautiful Bo Bunny 'Secret Garden' Collection.

This collection has a pretty Spring garden theme in shades of purples, blues and pinks, with hints of silver foil.

The Whole World is a Garden

For this layout I chose to go with the pink toned patterned papers and sourced my photo from Pinterest.

The Green Tara azaleas were the perfect fit with these pp's and the fussy cut blossoms.

How gorgeous is the new Blue Fern Serendipity Medley background stamp!!  I have randomly stamped with this and embossed in Stampendous metallic sterling silver to tie in with the lovely foil paper accents.

The Scrapbook Store Bo Bunny Secret Garden - More Than Words April Challenge

Hi everyone.

A new month with new projects created for The Scrapbook Store!!  This month I am creating with the new Bo Bunny 'Secret Garden' Collection - a beautiful range in lilac, blue, soft pinks and hints of green with a garden theme full of pretty florals, patterns and the sweetest little birds.

Creative Challenge - Mood Photo

I was drawn to the  'Greenhouse' pp which has all these lovely patterned circles in pretty colours and different sizes.  To make the circles pop I stamped around them with various circle stamps, then fussy cut around them.  Keeping to the circle theme, I added some cute Doodlebug lilac mist enamel sprinkles and a gorgeous Blue Fern Chipboard small circle flourish to frame my photo.

I have used foam tape to create depth when overlapping the circles, then added a few Green Tara mini blossoms and TSS mini flowers here and there.

Tip:  If you want to recreate this look but don't have circle stamps you could use different sized bottle caps and lids with black mist or watered down black paint to make the circles pop.

Tim Holtz – Layering Stencil - Bubble

To create the background I stenciled with  the Tim Holtz bubble stencil and ink, then stamped over the top with the new Blue Fern Brocade Flourish stamp in sky blue Ranger archival ink, and to create an overall softness I flicked with Pink Ladies Pink Lindys Stamp Gang mist, dried off then flicked with White Kaiser Mist.

The beautiful Blue Fern Chipboard flourish frame was altered by first coating with gesso, then once dry, inking in green and purple inks - inks are listed below

The Scrapbook Store - Bo Bunny Love and Lace

Hi Everyone,

Sharing 2 more layouts created for The Scrapbook Store with the beautiful Bo Bunny "Love and Lace" Collection.  This collection is a beautiful gathering of lace, flowers and leather accents in soft dusky colours that tie in wonderfully with projects featuring love and friendship.

This range is lends itself beautifully to wedding photos, and again I was inspired by this gorgeous pic of my nephew and his beautiful bride.

Two Hearts

I went for the dusky pink colours in this collection for this layout, and softened the floral pp by cutting into strips, weaving them and sponging over with Liquitex Gesso to create a soft and dreamy look.

A bit of stamping with Kaisercraft Script stamp and Blue Fern Stamp Set then flicked over with Kaisercraft Mists.  To frame the photo I used a Prima Resin Frame, accented with a touch of Viva Inka Gold in Mint Green.

The chipboard title is from the  Blue Fern Studios Wedding Words set, which I altered by coating with Faber Castell modelling paste, then inking over with Rose Madder Ranger Archival Ink.

Always be True to Yourself

For my 2nd LO I went for the soft pinks and greens with a the jewel tones of the burgundy for a bit of contrast.

The gorgeous Your Creative Wings Chipboard frame was altered with a coat of  Liquitex Gesso, inked over with Rose Madder Archival Ink, then lightly sponged with a bit more gesso to soften the ink.

I mixed a little of the Viva Inka Gold in mint green with Kaisercraft Apple kaiser mist to match the green tones of the pp.

The Scrapbook Store - Bo Bunny Love and Lace

Hi Everyone,

Today I am sharing my 2nd layout created for The Scrapbook Store with the beautiful Bo Bunny "Love and Lace" Collection.  This collection is a beautiful gathering of lace, flowers and leather accents in soft dusky colours that go beautifully with projects featuring love and friendship.

For this layout I have been inspired by a gorgeous photo of my nephew's wedding, as the love theme in this range lends itself perfectly to wedding photos.

Always and Forever

I love the shabby effect of tearing and layering paper and have been using this technique quite a lot recently as it's a great way to showcase various pp's without it being too busy.  I have chosen the green tones of the Bo Bunny "Affection" and "Leather" pp's and mixed in a section of 7 Dots Studio Soulmates "Welcome to Happiness" in a pretty soft pink to add a little contrast.

The background was masked with the pretty Tim Holtz "Gothic" layering stencil and Shimmerz Texturez paste in crushed coral, then flicked over in several mist colours to add dimension.

This range comes with co-ordinating diecuts and buttons, which I have used to layer around my photo with pretty flowers from Green Tara.

I finished of the layout with a beautiful Blue Fern Studios chipboard title from the Wedding Word Set.

Hi Everyone,

This month for The Scrapbook Store I am designing with the beautiful Bo Bunny "Love and Lace Collection.  A gorgeous romantic collection with pretty florals and lace patterns in lovely jewel tones.

Love the Way you Smile

I was immediately drawn to the gorgeous royal blue "True Love pp in this collection and decided to team it with the burgundy "Cherish" pp as I love the gorgeous contrast they create.  To give my layout a soft and dreamy look, I masked the background with the beautiful Dusty Attic Lace Stencil... I think this one will become a fav!!

Pretty Prima flowers teamed with the sweet Green Tara roses. and Bo Bunny Noteworthy Diecuts were teamed together to create my floral embellishments.  I have swiped the roses with a touch of Faber Castell Gesso to tie in with the shabby chic romantic look of my layout.

How pretty is the Dusty Attic Lace Stencil!!  I have masked with Faber Castell Whipped Spackle... love this product, so light and fluffy, then flicked over with Lindy's Stamp Gang Cotton Candy Starburst Mist.
