The Scrapbook Store DT - Maja Design 'Summertime' Collection

Hi Everyone,

Sharing my 2nd layout created for The Scrapbook Store using the beautiful Maja Designs 'Summertime' Collection.

"Summer Fun"

I went through some old photos of Luke and Brittany a few months ago and came across this sweet photo of the 2 of them when they were little, splashing around at the Beach in Caloundra and thought the pretty blue tones in this collection would be perfect for this beach themed photo.

I had fun playing around with the background on this layout.  I sprayed the background paper with Kaisercraft Aqua mist, Lindy's Whale Watch Blue and Azure Sea Asters starburst mists, then stencilled with Prima bubbles template and Prima white crackle paste.

Once dry and crackled, I highlighted with Gold Viva Inka Gold medium and applied a bit more misting.  I then stamped with Kaisercraft tiny dots texture stamp and Ranger Cobalt archival ink.  To add a bit more texture I randomly applied I'm A Maized Prills, then lightly sponged over the background with gesso to create a bit of softness.

To create the darker flicks of colour, I mixed cobalt ink with water on a non-stick craft mat and flicked over by background.

How gorgeous is the Blue Fern Chipboard Seashell Frame!!  I altered the frame by applying a coat of  Gold Viva Inka Gold, randomly applying Stampendous Aqua Aged Embossing Powder, and then highlighting with Aquamarine Viva Inka gold.

The clusters were created by cutting up the Prima French Riviera Flower Vine and tucking distressed pieces of Green Tara Jute Twine underneath to look like fishing net.

To make my glass pebbles pop, I coated the back of them with Aquamarine Inka Gold.

For a bit of shimmer the Summer Words Decorative Die was diecut from Kaisercraft gold glitter cardstock.

The Scrapbook Store - Bo Bunny Secret Garden Collection

 Hi Everyone,

Today I am sharing my final layout for the month for The Scrapbook Store created with the beautiful Bo Bunny 'Secret Garden' Collection.  Why not pop in to the The Scrapbook Store and check out this gorgeous collection of papers while they are still in store.

Take Time to Smell The Roses
I love to look through Pinterest for inspiration photos and came across this lovely pic which I thought would go beautifully with the Bo Bunny Secret Garden range.  I have fussy cut the pretty flowers from the 'Roses' pp and layered them with a couple of Doodlebug mini paper doiles to frame my photo.

I have to admit that I adore Blue Fern chippies and have used the gorgeous Collage Border which I cut up into 3 separate pieces.  I sponged the pieces with Liquitex surface prep gesso and whilst still wet I applied a mix of Stampendous aged shabby pink and aged rose embossing powders.  I love the vintage/shabby effect you can create with these embossing powders!!

The colours in this range a really vibrant, so to achieve a softer and dreamier effect I have lightly sponged over the background papers with Liquitex gesso, and used the Tim Holtz latticework stencil with Prima Modelling Paste.

The Scrapbook Store - Maja Designs Enjoying Outdoors

Hi Everyone,

This month for The Scrapbook Store I am creating with the beautiful Maja Designs "Enjoying Outdoors" Collection.

There are some pretty soft green pp's in this Collection, which I decided to use to create my layout.   I highlighted the pp's with peach accents for a pop of colour and cream accents to soften the overall look of the layout.

The beautiful Blue Fern Bird Ornaments chipboard piece was cut into 2 sections, altered with a coat of    Eggshell White Ceramcoat Acrylic Paint then stamped with Kaisercraft script texture stamp in Abandoned Coral Distress Ink and tucked in between a couple of flower cluster created with Petaloo Textured Blossoms and TSS mini flowers.

To create my background I masked with Crafters Workshop Tiny Dots and Faber Castell Whipped Spackle, then stamped with Kaiesrcraft Script texture stamp in Olive Ranger Archival Ink as well as the Kaisercraft Flutter texture stamp in Abandoned Coral Distress Ink, the flicked all over with Kaisercraft Peach Mist, and Lindy's My Mojito Green Starburst Mist.

The Scrapbook Store - Lemoncraft Christmas Greetings Layout

Hi Everyone,

Today I am sharing my final layout for the month at The Scrapbook Store using the beautiful Lemoncraft Christmas Greetings Collection.

Most Wonderful Time of the Year Layout
For this layout I decided to mix a bit of lime green and pink hues with the traditional colour palette of this collection to give it a more youthful look to tie in with this cute photo of Luke and Brittany when they were much younger, capturing the excitement of opening their presents on Christmas day.

Lemoncraft - Christmas Greetings Collection

The background was created by cutting up various sized sections of the cover sheet from the Lemoncraft Basics Collection which has a pattern on the reverse side, and sanding the edges with Kaisercraft sanding block, leaving you with a lovely crisp white borders.  I then overlapped and adhered the pieces to create a base for my photo.

The layers were masked with Faber Castell whipped spackle and Tim Holtz flourish stencil, then randomly stamped with a cute snowflake image.  I mixed various flowers, red glittered berries and diecut pine sprigs to frame my photo, then added some pretty lime green sequins for a bit of sparkle and finished off by using a brush to flick the background with lime Kaisermist.

Green Tara - Mini Blossoms Rose
To alter the Blue Fern Santa's Sleigh chipboard piece, I coated with Faber-Castell whipped spackle then used a palette knife to create peaks by laying flat on the whipped spackle and lifting up the knife.  Whilst the whipped spackle is still wet I sprinkled with Zing leaf green embossing powder and set with a heat gun.

The Scrapbook Store - Lemoncraft Christmas Greetings Collection

Hi Everyone,

I can't believe it's only 7 weeks until Christmas, and with that in mind, this month for my Design Team proejcts for The Scrapbook Store I get to create with the gorgeous new Lemoncraft "Christmas Greetings" Collection.  This range has a beautiful vintage feel with a traditional colour palette in green, crimson and cream hues.  There is also a basics range set of papers which ties in beautifully with this fabulous Christmas Collection.

"Believe" Layout

To make the crimson tones of the pp's really pop I used American Crafts white cardstock for my background, which I masked with White Croco Crackling and the new Kaisercraft Geo Tiles Template.   Once the crackle medium was totally dried, I spritzed with water then applied the Lindy's Edleweiss Moss Green Mist with a brush, dried this off, then applied the Cest La Vie Cerise from the Lindys Tres Chic Magicals Set by mixing with water on a craft sheet, then applying with a brush to background.  I stamped little snowflakes from the Prima Victorian Christmas Stamp Set with Carnation Red Archival Ink randomly over the masking and topped the snowflakes with Kaisercraft split pea rhinestones to add a little sparkle.

The bauble was fussy cut from the reverse side of the Let Your Dreams Come True pp which has lovely christmas tags, labels and christmas accents.  I sanded the edges of the bauble and added stamped accents with the Prima Victorian Christmas Stamp Set.  I have used one of the Blue Fern Chipboard Flutter Page Dangles to hang my bauble and embellished the dangle with Green Tara flowers, berries and Tim Holtz Festive Brads, then topped with a Snug Hug binding ribbon bow in moss green.

The ScrapbookStore - Graphic 45 Mon Amour

Hi Everyone,

I have my last layout for the month created for The Scrapbook Store using the Graphic 45 Mon Amour Collection.

The Mon Amour Collection has an overall wedding/love theme and my 3 previous LO's were created with this in mind, but for this LO I wanted to show you that it can be used outside of this theme and went for a pretty feminine page.

All Natural Beauty- Graphic 45 Mon Amour Collection

To create my background I coated the AC vanilla cardstock with clear gesso, then masked the Tim Holtz Gothic Stencil with Faber Castell whipped spackle mixed with Lindy's Chateau Rose mica powder from the Tres Chic Magicals Set.  I then sprayed the masked area with Lindy's Cape Code Coral Starburst Mist, dried off, then sprayed with Lindy's Clam Bake Starburst Mist and finished off by flicking with Dylusions White Linen mist.

I have torn a section of the Dearest Darling pp to go down the centre of my page.  My photo was framed with a frame fussy cut from the Mon Amour pp, and then layered with pieces of the My Beloved pp and peach pp from the Paper and Solids 6" paper pad, which I distressed and inked in Tim Holtz Festive Berries.
I add a bit of dimension to my layers I have tucked in some of the Chipboard Tags 1.

I cut off a section of the Blue Fern Floral Spray chipboard and altered by coating with Faber Castell gesso first, then applying Lindy's Cape Cod Coral and Clambake as well as Olive Vine Twinkling H2o's with a brush.
I used the alpha stickers from the 12x12 Sticker Sheet to create my title and distressed them with the Kaisercraft Sanding block to add to the shabby chic look of my page.
Green Tara Azeleas and roses were flicked and brushed with Lindy's Cape Code Coral mist

The Scrapbook Store - Blue Fern Frolic LO No. 2

Hi Everyone,

Today I am sharing my 2nd layout created for The Scrapbook Store using the delicious Blue Fern Studios "Frolic" Collection.

A Perfect Day Layout

For this layout I was inspired by the beautiful teal green and blue patterned papers from this collection.

The gorgeous chipboard Circle Flourish is also from Blue Fern Studios and was altered by coating with Dina Wakely Gesso first, then colouring the flowers with Viva Inka Gold in Jade Green and Aquamarine, which I applied with my fingertip, blending the colours together in random areas to add more depth.  The flower centres were accented by applying glue then sprinkling with Stampendous Multi Crystal Glitter Mix.  Pretty Petaloo flowers were clustered around the chipboard to create a bit of texture and draw the eye to my photo.

I fussy cut the little birds from the "Friendship" pp and applied with foam tape to create dimension.

The background "Dans Le Jardin" pp was altered by stenciling the Tim Holtz Flourish Stencil with Prima Modeling Paste.  Once dry I stamped over the top with the Blue Fern Garden Frolic Stamp in archival ink then flicked wtih some Cobalt and Soft Pastel Teal Prima Color Bloom Sprays .

I coloured random spots on the lace trim with Prima Soft Teal Color Bloom Spray.  The packaging from the Blue Fern Chipboard was so pretty and matching in perfectly with these pp's, so I punched the edges with a border punch and added it to my layers.
