Dusty Attic May Mood Board Challenge - Picture Perfect Moments

Hi everyone,
Cathy here today, sharing my take on this month's Mood Board Challenge at Dusty Attic, which is another stunner!!

"Picture Perfect Moments"
I took inspiration from the colour palette and floral accents and decadent feel of this month's Mood Board.
To start I stencilled my background with Dusty Attic Ledger Stencil and Prima modelling paste.  Once dry I stamped over the stencilled area with a Kaisercraft Texture Stamp.

Loving the fabulous new release Impact Titles... so many new titles, you are bound to find just what you need!!  I have used "Picture Perfect" which I altered by first coating gesso, then a coat of 3D Liquid Pearls in Buttercup and Snow.

The 49 and Market 6x6 Happy Moments come in white which I love! I added a bit of texture to the string frame with some Prima mini art stones, then to make the chipboard a more brilliant white I spritzed with Kaisercraft white mist.
The leaf sprigs were misted white, and the little berries were highlighted with buttercup liquid pearls.  I also used buttercup liquid pearls on the Iron Accents #1.

Dusty Attic March Mood Board Challenge - Remember Today

Hi everyone,  Today I am sharing my take on this month's Mood Board Challenge at Dusty Attic.  How gorgeous is the colour palette and shabby roses and peonies theme!!
"Remember Today"

The inspiration I took from this month's Mood Board was the colour palette, pretty blooms and lace doily.
To create my background I stencilled with the Damask #2 stencil and Prima Modelling Paste.  I then stamped the floral pattern by applying Dusty in Colour sugar plum acrylic paint to the Stampers Anonymous vines and roses stamp, then spritzed with a touch of water to give a watercolour effect.  I also stamped with Kaisercraft script background, then finished off with the beautiful Dress My Craft White Sunshine sequins for a bit more texture, which I applied with Dusty in Colour Clear Gloss Varnish.

I altered the Dusty Attic Vintage Frame #2, Lacey Trims and Foliage #1 chipboard pieces by coating first with gesso, then applying white liquid pearls, which creates a beautiful finish for those shabby chic/romantic layouts.
How sweet are the recent release Mini Captions!!  I altered my title with Dusty in Colour sugar plum acrylic paint and white liquid pearls.

The Dusty Attic January Mood Board Challenge - Wedding Layout

Hi everyone, I am very excited to have been invited back for another term on The Dusty Attic Design Team.  Thanks so much Jennifer Hedger and Jen Burns... looking forward to another fabulous year creating with all your gorgeous chipboard designs!!

"You Will Forever be my Always"
Today I am sharing my take on this month's gorgeous Mood Board.  I was inspired by the gold and white colour palette, wedding theme and lacy accents.

Because we have so many amazing entries each month and it is so difficult to pick just one winner, there will now be TWO winners who have the chance to win a $AU50 Dusty Attic Prize Voucher to spend at the Website.  All you have to do is use the Mood Board as inspiration and make sure to add some Dusty Attic chipboard/products to your creation, then link it up to the Dusty Attic blog on the top right hand side... good luck!!

To create my background, I first applied gold mist to my paper.  I then stencilled over the gold mist using texture paste and the Creative Script Template.

The chipboard pieces were altered by coating with white paint/gesso and then a coating of gold paint.   Once dry I added touches of gold foil for an added touch of sparkle and texture.

Once the chipboard, paper accents and lace detail were applied around the gorgeous photo of my niece on her Wedding Day, I applied some of the Dress My Craft Crystal Clear Sequins to the background with random touches of gold Prills.

Thanks so much for stopping by.

Dusty Attic July Mood Board Challenge - Nature's Beauty

Hi Everyone,
Today I am sharing my take on this month's Mood Board/Sketch Challenge at Dusty Attic.

Why not enter for your chance to win a $100 Prize Voucher from The Dusty Attic website.  You can use the Mood Board or sketch for inspiration or if you're feeling adventurous, why not use both!! All you need to do is add Dusty Attic chipboard to your creation and link up to the Blog Site on the top right hand side.
How gorgeous is the colour palette in this month's Mood Board... the contrast of the teal, orange and white is divine!!

'Nature's Beauty'
My son recently went to Japan and one of the highlights of his trip, was a visit to a fox sanctuary, so as soon as I saw the orange from the colour palette it made me think of this beautiful photo he snapped of the red fox all curled up in the brilliant white snow.

To create my background, I used the recent release Gradient Stencil and Dusty Attic Texture Paste, then misted over with a mix of 2 Lindy's Starburst Mists and once dry, stamped over with a crackle background stamp in teal ink.
The Vine Corner #2 chipboard was cut into sections, painted with Capri Dusty in Colour, then coated with seafoam Liquid Pearls and whilst wet sprinkled with teal microbeads.  Once dry, I lightly swiped over with gesso to create the effect of a light dusting of snow.

To draw the eye to the gorgeous photo, I decided to frame it with the Large Crazy Stitching chipboard, which I coated with Viva Inka Gold in Copper.

To create my title I used the Mini ABC Script and Words #2 chipboard, which I coated first with gesso, then with white Liquid Pearls.
